The park is quiet and peaceful. Nestled in a little grove of trees, and boarded on one side by a sizable lake. Sites are level and the bathrooms are clean!

A nice, very small campground. Clean bathrooms. But, buyer beware…. Though they claim to be pet friendly, they are the ONLY campground we have come across, in years, that charge $5 per pet, PER DAY. And god forbid you check out late, we had had some pretty bad rains and were cleaning up a water leak from roof in our rv on check out day, we ended up leaving 55 minutes late, they charged us $5. Another first in our experiences. And don’t go near the lake, they apparently poison it regularly. Also, NO picnic tables, NO grills. Spots are VERY small. Noisy, literally right next to a very busy highway.

Campground Response

when you book it ask you if you read the rules .you said yes that you did .check out is at 11:00 am .I came to you Rv and talk to your husband . He told me that he didn't know that check out was at 11 that he thought it was at 12:00 . and you left at 12:01 pm that is why you was charge $5.00 .and for the lake we do not poison the lake . the stuff that we put in the lake is to keep allergy from growing in the lake . common sense Kentucky would shut us down if we was poison the lake . and it says that we do not have picnic table ,or grills it tells you what size are lots are please before you go to any other campground please read the rules . before you try to hurt other parks. thank you parks manager

We stayed here in November 2021 on Thanksgiving weekend. They were having a meal and invited us in to eat. They were very pleasant and accommodating so we decided they would be our first choice in trying out our new 37' fifth wheel. Again, it was very pleasant. We are here in April and the view is gorgeous as ever overlooking the lake. The hosts were very helpful and friendly people. We had no trouble backing in (most are pull through sites but we wanted the lake view in the back :P). The shower houses were clean. It was so peaceful we decided to extend our couple day stay to the full 14 days! This is the best RV campground in Bardstown. The people who couldn't find this place in the other review must have been blind. When you get off I-65 at the Bardstown exit and travel for miles, all you have to do is turn right at the first light! We were sent our codes through the RoverPass chat and everything went smoothly. Thanks for a great stay!

I wasn’t going to write a review, but since they asked for one, here goes. This was our 5th time staying at Little Patch of Heaven, while traveling to the FL panhandle. We stayed there 5 times because the first 4 experiences were great. We always had a site with full hookups close to the shower house, which we used. The host was ill so she told us ahead of time that no one would be there to check us in. I understand that. We had decided that we would just use the shower house and not hook up the septic and water since it was so cold. The shower house was locked when we arrived and we had no code to get in, so I call the host, and she tells me that the shower house has always been closed in the winter. It certainly has not been closed, we had used it every year previously. She argued with me to the point that it got heated. So, we decide ok, we will go ahead and hook up to water and septic after all, until we find out that the site has no septic. She tells me to use our rigs bathroom and dump in the morning. In the morning, we go to the dump station and it’s locked with a paddle lock. We had to travel with water and waste onboard adding a lot of weight to an already heavy rig, until we could find another dump station. To wrap up, she insisted we never used the shower house, asked me to describe the inside to her to prove that we had used it in the past, she told me she had the right to kick us out and then hung up on me and I worried all evening that they were going to come kick us out. Sadly things have declined under this hosts management. Needless to say we won’t go back to this place. I won’t even give this place 1 star. The owners need to evaluate their host or they will be out of business. Well, I had to add a star to submit.

Campground Response

Small park, sites not very level, and not that many sites with full hook ups. Pretty pricey @ $30 per nite. No discount for weekly. Not that easy to find either. No sign. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
