Stay away from this park. Rude and obnoxious manager. Electric is totally danger to your rv. (95v)Lots are dirty and hard to get in.

Campground Response

Stay away from this horrible camper. He was the worst complainer we ever had. He complained and complained and complained I told him to leave and everyone on the campground was so happy he left especially me

Fort Wilderness campground is a bad one to stay. As I arrived had an argument with the office on my booking. I have booked 50A site and they gave me 30A site. The owner lady was rude and finally changed it to 50A mud site. My booking confirmation said Paved and 50A site. When I got to the new site, the water and sewage where in the left side and electricity was on the right side. My cable barley made it. The mud smelled from. They had a problem with the septic tank and they fixed it. On the 3rd. day of my stay (from 7 days booking and paid). the power went off. I ran my generator for a day and night and when I saw that the electric is not coming back I left. The electric system in this camp is old and not up to handle the load. The main breaker board just melted under the load. The wiring and the outlet are not up to code and my neighbor had only 90V in his 30A. so he also left the next day after he arrived. Many site rv's left on July 4th. as 90 degrees heat with no AC, is not what I paid for. The office refused to pay me back for the days that I left and for the day that I ran my generator with about $40.00 in fuel. I will never go back to this camp as a voltage drop is danger for my rv appliances. Stay away from this place. Harry

Campground Response

This guest and his wife was very nasty and rude to our staff members , duke power had a major outage causing 100,000 people to be out of power for hours on end and even before the outage power fluctuations so this man is totally out of line. He also tore up our site getting out of the site with his 44 ft RV towing a car. I hope other parks are wise to his antics and don’t rent a site to him. Cind

If I could give a 0 I would. This is our 1st family RV road trip and we rented a spot for the 4th of July. When we arrived my husband went to check in and they gave him a different site # then what I reserved on Reserve America. I walked in to speak with Manager and the lady at the desk said she was the Owner. I informed her that this was not the site we selected. Her response was, you just reserved today and the person on the site you selected has been there for a week. Do you think I would move them for your 1 night stay. I was shocked that the owner would speak to a customer like this especially since this is a valid question. I told her that I reserved a few days ago and she said her system and Reserve America system do not always communicate well. I informed her we had small children and the reason I selected that specific site was it was near bathroom and pool. She said if I didn't like it she would refund me and I could go elsewhere. I said I couldn't risk it since it was the 4th of July. The site was not clean, has tree debris all over the place. After staying at several KOA locations I would never suggest a place like this.

Campground Response

I apologize for the inconvience of having to move to another site. We try to accommodate our guests but sometimes we are unable to and always try to find a solution and we did for this very nasty aggressive guest. We put her next to the site she wanted and her kids had a fun and happy day. I was ready to call the police because of her behavior. July 4th weekend is always crazy as campers know. We do invite you back again on a less than busy day such as July 4th.
