Beautiful location. Well staffed. Great bathhouse. Rustic cabins are well kept with comfortable beds. Very cozy. Our favorite camp spot in western NC

Nice campground and clean facilities. A little tricky to drive to so go slow but don’t let that stop you. Close to Bryson city and the fun of the area. I will be back again soon.

I loved the extra outhouses and the wifi pavilion. The atmosphere seemed very homey. They even have a microwave for guests to use by the main restroom. Little amenities like those make it easier than primitive camping and are appreciated. We also heard many birds singing in the mornings like Yellow-throated Warbler and Red-eyed Vireos and we had a wildlife encounter with a crayfish at our campsite (which was right next to a stream). Nice staff, highly recommended!

We stayed in the Montana camper, it was very nice. The only thing, it was very musty smelling. You could also smell sewage every time you flushed and the girl in the office said it was not to be like that.I am having a hard time getting that musty smell out of my clothes and suitcase.

Great place . They have done many improvements and the grounds are nice. Great public gathering place with TV and even a well stocked store for last minute needs. Even the bath house is nice and well kept

Had a great time staying here with the Elements on the Dragon group. Very friendly staff. Clean bathhouse and overall great facilities. We stayed in site 53 and enjoyed the lulling sound of the brook. Had some tree roots to contend with but since we slept in back of the Element was not an issue. This particular site would be good for a small tent set up so you can avoid the roots. Overall great spot. Close enough to town but still feels off the beaten path. 5/5

I camped in the field for a Honda Element meetup and it was the perfect location - it was very quiet at night, beautiful location, and the bathrooms were nice and clean. I will definitely enjoy coming back again if we choose the same location next year!

I feel like two reviews are needed. One for what the campground is and one for some suggestions on improving the experience for the cabin dwellers. We stayed in the Maple cabin i think (lefthand cabin when viewed from other side of creek) It's clean and has a small fridge, twin bead and bunk beds, heater, AC. Could use some hangars on the walls for jackets and clothes. The porch had some nice chairs and a table which were nice to have since we were on a motorcycle and could not bring ours. The showers and bathrooms were clean and taken care of. Some new shower heads are needed - some were leaky and others were loose. Water was warm but not hot. This could be due to alot of use at the time or because it was around 45 in the morning. If you like the rustic/ off the main road type of environment, then you'll like this place. It's got everything you need to be comfortable. The area around the cabins could use more grass. The creek keeps the ground a little on the muddy side. The drive-over bridge could use a smoother transition. It's sketchy on a motorcycle.
