Waze GPS had the address about 1.5 miles short of the actual location so be aware of that and keep going. Plenty of space and quiet campground. Unusual in that it has a microwave at the bathhouse you can use and a covered picnic area with a large screen TV. I was on site 21 next to a lovely creek with the sound helping to put you to sleep at night. Wish the site had more gravel vs. mud for the trailer and that the men's room had more toilet paper as at one point all stalls were out of paper and they only put leftover rolls out with barely any paper on them. Enjoyed my stay.

Campground Response

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and apologize for the bath house inconveniences. With illness affecting our staff and a shortage on supply deliveries we fell a little behind. Hope to see you again in the future.

The women’s bathroom was not cleaned every day. The trash was not emptied by the pavilion. Was there last summer and a month ago and did not have this problem.

Campground Response

We apologize for the mentioned inconveniences. With illness affecting our staff and a shortage on supply deliveries we fell a little behind. Hope to see you again in the future.

Quiet, clean bathrooms, really liked that all hookups were at my site, so no waiting in line to dump. The common pavilion has free wifi and tv, I had cell service and internet from my site.

Very secluded on a backroad in a valley. It was very quiet. Could only hear the sound of the little stream next to our RV and the birds. Bathrooms/showers were immaculatly clean. Close to Bryson City for the Great Smoky Mountain Rail Road. Close to highways and roads leading to Cherokee, Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Not a big campground; no loud music or loud voices. Definitely for older people who like privacy, peace and quiet. Full hookups. We were very pleased and would definitely return.

Had an awesome time at the campgrounds well maintained and clean. Would have given it 5 stars but people were tracking in Grass into the restroom area I guess people don't know how to wipe their feet.?

Very nice campground just 5 minutes off hwy 74 near Bryson City, NC. Good spacing between sites, clean shower house and restrooms. Road is a bit twisty and has one hill that is a bit of a climb, but our 31' trailer had no problems getting there. We used a pull thru site with full hook up. Scenery is excellent, night sky view exceptional. Had heavy rains while on-site, good drainage considering 3" fell. 30 amp good, sewer good. Only minor issue is water had noticeable sulfur smell, very little taste or shower issues. This is a very good tent campground. Quite adequate RV sites I would suggest under 35 feet. Longer rigs will find the drive in "exciting". Overall condition of facilities very good.

Great Campground close to kayaking and rafting. Don’t like all the big dogs around most were leashed. I would recommend this campground and would consider staying again in the future. It was a beautiful area

Great campground, especially for someone new like me. Enough room for multiple cars on the primitive tent site or across on the field. Portapotties were clean and close to the site as well. We had a water spigot on ours which was helpful. Bathhouse was clean. Had no service/data on Verizon but it was okay. Close to town and close to the river, so all in all this was a great experience.

Smokey mountain Meadows is an excellent campground if you enjoy peace and quiet. The owners are kind and helpful. They have hiking trails, a creek, volleyball net, play area for children, a clean well looked after bath house, dish washing area for tent campers, they also have a laundry area, fire wood and ice. As mentioned previously many of the sites are shaded. It is only a short drive from Bryson city, nantahala gorge, tuckeseegee river, nantahala lake, Fontana lake, deep creek, great Smokey mountain railway, and the Appalachian trail. I have stayed here many times it is always quiet and clean.

A lovely little campground in nice setting. Well maintained. Only problem was the drive to get there, but it was worth it!

Great campground! We loved our site on the creek. The staff were nice and helpful. Only issues were they could use better wifi. Also the lawn was mowed and the restroom and showers were full of grass clumps after that. The location was also great. I would stay again.

The best campground ever. Most spots are shaded and the babbling brook is an added bonus. Beautiful views in the morning and evening. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Definitely will be back to this campground.

The campground is in really nice condition and the service was great! Everyone was very polite and I felt very safe here. It was also very quiet and right next to the creek which was wonderful! I had a few things that bothered me . One was that there were a row of Rv campers being stored right in front of our campsite which really killed our view and just wasn't pleasant to look at I feel it would be a better experience if those were stored away from the campsites, the other was that when it was hot we could smell the port a potties.
