The campground is quiet and beautiful, staff is nice. The family cabin AC does not work for us, so the room was kind of damp, and the private bath smelled unpleasant.

I enjoyed the setting; it felt and looked like camping and not a parking lot by a river. The road to get there is a little winding and narrow but worth the white knuckle drive. Very friendly host. I would go back next time I'm in the area.

Location is Great! Website easy to navigate and register Good notification of information. Facilities need better upkeep and site markers lacking.

Great campground for those wanting to avoid the "paved paradise" parking lot RV park. Set about 10 min. outside Bryson city it is close to everything. Quiet, grassy RV sites, nice tent camping along a rushing creek, a clean bathhouse and super nice management who went out of their way to be accommodating. Do call ahead if you have a big rig to get advice on what RV sites will work best. A great experience.

The "cabins" are not cabins. It was a one room shed with 3 beds, no refrigerator or microwave, a small bathroom and no heat. There was a space heater but it didn't work. The receptionist was gracious and refunded part of our money. It may be best for people in RVs.

Loved location , folks were great. If it’s it’s raining stay out of the low ground. Upstream location only , if it’s wet. We will go back.

Excellent campground and I would definitely stay there again. We needed to do a bit of leveling but it was very easy to get in and out of our campsite. Ample areas for gathering with family and friends and wonderful outdoor activities everywhere around the area. Stay here. You won’t be sorry.

Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground is great! With such a beautiful and scenic location, it's hard to imagine someone not enjoying their stay. I have camped here for Week of Rivers and separately stayed in the Layton Camper. The Layton is deceiving from the outside because it's quite clean and modern on the inside. We did have an issue with gas but the owner/employee (I honestly don't know) was extremely helpful. The Showerhouse/Bathroom is always clean and well ventilated. It has flush toilets and hot water shower stalls with curtains. There was plenty of soap, towels, and hand-sanitizer available. Additionally, across the property you'll find numerous Johnny-on-the-Spots. The shared facilities include a large covered patio shelter with picnic tables. I don't know if this was provided or left by a visitor, but there was a projection screen strung up under the shelter and people were watching the NBA finals! There was also a puzzle out on the table, I presume for visitors. There was a swing-set and toddler's playground as well as a volleyball net. The creek running through the property was really cool and the red barn and silo against the backdrop of the Smoky Mountains was really picturesque. I'll definitely be staying there again.

If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to camp, this is the campground for you. While the road to get to the campground is narrow and curvy, it is well worth it when you arrive. The staff members we interacted with could not have been friendlier or more professional. There is a large playground area for kids and lots of room for everyone. It was quiet except for the birds and the sound of the brook. Smoky Mountain Meadows is located just a few minutes from Bryce City and some spectacular hiking trails. For those who are looking to get away from it all and relax, this is the spot for you.

Perfect low traffic location to enjoy Gatlinburg, Bryson City and Cherokee. Very pretty scenery from the camp ground. Lots of trees, clean bath house, very friendly staff close to everything but still secluded enough to have a good bit of privacy. I’d highly recommend this camp ground for a weekend get away.

Nice quiet campground. Hearing the babbling water was so relaxing.

Nice campground. Bathrooms were clean. Had trouble leaving since a previous night’s rain made the meadow very soggy.

We had a great time at SMM last weekend and we greatly appreciated the staff’s ability to accommodate our change in accommodations. The Layton camper was prepared quickly and was perfect for our group of 4. Thanks to Susan and staff for making our “glamping” a great experience!

Very friendly staff and super clean bathhouse. The creek behind our site was a wonderful addition and a super peaceful way to fall asleep at night. The 24 hr laundry was very helpful as well.

Stayed 3 nights in the Sycamore Cabin. Cabin was ok for 4 people. Bathroom was a little small. Having a front porch was nice. There were tables chairs for us. Bathhouse was clean and there was enough hot water. We will stay again.

We always enjoy coming to this campground for our two annual trips to paddle the Nantahala and Tuckaseegee Rivers. They are accommodating to all our friends and are always welcoming. Seems like they work 24/7. Our camp spot is usually by the creek so we love hearing that as we sleep. Probably the only negative thing I have is the grass is allowed to get high and they mow it leaving lots of clumped grass. That wouldn’t be a big deal except then all the kids track it into the bathroom giving an otherwise very clean bathroom the feeling of not clean. They work hard to try and clean it up but I think the solution would be to mow more frequently so the grass doesn’t get too high. With that said, if that’s my only complaint then you can’t go wrong camping here!!

Really great location for access to local rivers (we were kayaking the Nanty and Tuck) and to Bryson City for local dining. Susan was great answering my questions and helping me have a great stay! Would stay here again and again.

Overall it was a solid stay and we enjoyed our time. I would say the sites are a bit smaller than they looked online but we made due. If you have Verizon and stay toward the back be prepared for almost no cell service, and def no WiFi from the camp.
