About Port St Lucie

There are lots of RV parks around Port St. Lucie, and the state of Florida itself is home to more RV resorts of all shapes and sizes than anywhere else in the United States. Central Florida is on the cutting edge of outdoor recreation, and the area has new alternatives to classic RV camping for those looking for something different. Cabin camping is another popular choice for folks who want to experience nature up close, but still prefer to have an immovable foundation beneath their feet. To each his own, right?

Port St. Lucie is located on the east coast and sandwiched between the Miami and Orlando region. It’s an easy day or weekend trip away from the Everglades National Park, Key West, and Tampa Bay. Even panhandle classics like Destin and Panama City are but a day away. Cut across the middle of the state via Route 70, and check out the Gulf coast, where Sarasota RV parks are among some of the country’s most luxurious and sought after sites.

In Port St. Lucie, visitors will notice the beautiful white sand beaches along the mainland coast, as well as on the thin island breakwater, reachable by multiple bridges. There’s the Savannas Preserve State Park, where guests encounter the native flora and fauna of the region, via miles of hiking and canoeing trails. Near the northern edge of the park, close to Fort Pierce, is the Heathcote Botanical Gardens, where tropical bonsai trees are the focal point. And as with most of the rest of Florida, there is world class (even PGA-level) golf courses all around Port St. Lucie.
