This is a terrible park. Unlike every other camp they apparently provided Internet and bathroom codes on their email so when we arrived I didn’t have the codes we called and they never called back. There were four of us at the bathrooms with the same problem. Also make sure there are spaces in the older area. We got assigned to an asphalt space, no trees, no grass, right on a busy street.

Pulled in nobody in office went to sight I reserved another camper was parked there call 24 hr number no one answered

It was a great place for us to stay over night on our way north. There was plenty of room to navigate my rig, and the check-in process was pretty much automatic and easy. I didn't stay in the lots with grass, that would have been nicer, but nothing that bothered me. If ever go through souix falls will gladly stay again.

David & Beth Deason

It's a dump. Bring gun. Only stay if you are so tire you can't keep driving. Only plus is that it's right off interstate.

Cathy and Jim Crouch

This was not what was pictured on the website. It’s basically a parking lot with no where to be outside- no one was in the office- the smell from the black tank was overwhelming. We would not stay there again.

Paul Christensen

Won't cancel reservation don't stay at this place. Location is one of the worst in Sioux Falls off 12th street more crime.

Donald Halke

Very large campground right off highway. For us, good for a night rest while traveling, not a camping experience.

Lindsay Hafft

We stayed at the towers for an overnight stay in a premium site. The black tank exhaust smell by the dumpsters was so bad, you couldn’t be outside of the camper without feeling sick to your stomach. We put up with it for the night and did not complain since there was t anything to be done. We were booked to stay there again on the way home and I called to cancel. Since our stay was only 1 night and their policy is to keep the 1st night for a cancellation fee, I was not offered any money back for cancelling 5 days before our next stay. I did not cancel so they could not double book the site they were already receiving money for. I have never left a negative review for a campground, but I was not very happy with the policies and practices of this one.

Upon arrival we discovered the breaker on the power box was disconnected. It took approx. 90 minutes for maintenance to come and make a repair and the two trips for tools and hardware.

This campground provided a service and a place to stay but it did not feel safe and it was not appealing to the eye. Where we were parked, there was a trailer right in front of us with tarps and some other type of cover placed all around on its roof, some of the spots are back in butt to butt with other trailers. We drove through to the back of the property and it was a little scary. Some sites just had concrete no grass or table and inside the park motor cycles would rev up and be very loud at all times of the night. There did not appear to have a concern with how loud this was inside the park. One thing not in the control of the facility was the racing engines up and down 12th st. It is also not convenient to get into. There is not an immediate entrance into the park you had to go down and try to either do a Uturn or find another way to get to the right side of the street, and we were pulling a 42 foot trailer so that was not an easy task. The people working in the office were very nice but the only interaction I had with them was at when I checked in.

Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. Park is right in the middle of everything. Basic park but nice shaded spots.

I would never recommend Tower Campground to anyone. Pulled into my Site 68 on the west side. Not at all nice, I felt extremely unsafe there. Attempted to call staff 3 times. No one answered phone, or responded to my voice mail. I did not go into office, all information they send you says to not come to office. I pulled out and left, because again I did not feel safe !! Attempted several more times to call, left voice mails, asking for at least a partial refund. Finally got ahold of someone in the office a few days later. I explained to them what had happened, that I left because I did not feel comfortable, there site is not safe. The lady hung up on me, so very unprofessional. Rating 0 stars Tower Campground

Let me say that it started out awful, but in the end we were taken care of. Much thanks to the Maintence Man. I had made reservations with Tower Campground a month ago. When we got to the RV Park, we had been stuck on the pavement instead of in the grassy shaded area and the outside temp was 101 degrees. The space we were assigned to, # 10 did not have working electrical. There was no one in the office and even though it was summer (June 5th), they had a sign up that they were on Autum/Fall hours (closed at 2:00 PM) on the weekend, and for a a large busy RV Park, we did not feel that was acceptable. Other RV parks in South Dakota had people on site and in the office from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. It was 5:00 pm when we got there. They had a space assignment or designation sheet for the spaces, however it was for the day before and not updated for that date. There was a way to take a spot and put your information in a drop box! So I checked the sheet and we took a spot that supposedly had been vacated that morning & not assigned for that night. WRONG! Not long after we got there, the people for that spot showed up. Since the list showed the spot next door to not be reserved they very nicely took that one. WRONG AGAIN! Not 5 minutes later, the people who had reserved THAT SPACE showed up. They were not on the list at all. We all called the office but could not reach anyone directly. We all left messages on the after hours/emergency phone number. A man answered and said he would get ahold of the manager, Rosie and see if he could have her call me back. Shortly after, the man called me back and a maintenence man showed up and did his best to help us. He spoke with Rose over a radio or phone and made the arrangements to put one of the other couples (in a 5th wheel) in a premium spot in the back. The people in the next space (also in a 5th wheel) stayed where they were and we were able to stay in our spot, which is good because in the mean time our Class A had electrical problems and we couldn't move if we wanted to. My many thanks to the Maintence Man. I wish I had gotten his name to thank him, but I didn't. He had a German accent and did everything he could to help. He was a terrific help. We never met the manager, Rosie. She lived about 15 minutes away, but the maintenence man solved the issue before she got there.

Great site! We wished we could stay longer. Good people running it. Highly recommend. Right off freeway, but trees blocked most of the highway noise. We will stay again.

Nice weekend. No issues with the campground

Keith Wischer

First of all, this is a campground in an urban area so expectations are that if you want to get away from it all, this isn't the place. It was convenient for our purposes. We arrived Friday afternoon around 4:30 and the office was closed (odd for a holiday weekend) and there was a sign asking you to complete the registration form, which there were none to be found. Fortunately, we made advance reservations and the confirming email had the site number assigned. I feel sorry for those that arrived expecting to register and get a site that day. AND Tower Campground could have used their business since there were quite a few open sites. We went to our site and set up. Never saw any staff the two nights we stayed there. It was disappointing that their "rules and regulations" appear to not be enforced. There was one very dilapidated unit that, if their rules had been enforced, would not have been able to park there. "Any type of camper or RV more than 10 years old will be subject to approval from management. TCG has the right to refuse or evict any camper based on appearance and/or age of camper." It's a shame, because the unit in question was near the entrance to the main part of the campground and didn't give a very good impression of how the place was taken care of. The newer part is nothing but a parking lot and would be okay for overnighters, but any more than a night would not be appealing. Overall, it served its purpose and the cost of an overnight was not bad.

Campground Response

Keith, I personally was in the office until after 5pm on Friday and again Saturday during our office hours from 10am-2. Im not certian how you missed staff as we were here all weekend. Also 2 contact phone numbers are in the display window near the front door if any of our campers are in need of assistance. Both Maintenance and myself were at the campground out on property until 11pm that evening helping campers. Those making reservations online receive an email and there for are registered, there are no further steps for checking in. This is a step we take to assure safety messures with the on going Covid iussue. Im sorry you did not enjoy your stay, however just like the other campsites in the Siox Falls area we too are off of the interstate which some appreciate as it is easy access to any where in the town. If you so choose to stay with us again and are in need of any assistance please make sure to use all phone numbers provided, incase staff is out on grounds helping other campers. Thank you for your feed back.

The park is ok. A lot of motion. The noise from the main road and traffic is noisy. There are several what appears to be long timers who speed through when the speed limit is 10 mph. The codes to bathrooms and showers were changed and several campers had trouble getting in. After I left a message, it took several hours yo get a call back with the correct code. Staff was out of office until 10 am and we ended up leaving at 9

Cameryn Friesz

This campground was a pleasant escape in town but with a feel of a campground out of town. There is noise from the interstate but it was not bothersome. We loved having the playground for our kids within the campground. The bathrooms were clean but could use replacements in the showers (shower head and door locks broken off). Not all sites have a table or a fire pit so request if you’re wanting any of these.

Easy to find and get to. Office was closed when we checked in so it was nice to have use Rover Pass. We got there and and just found an open spot. Hookups were good.
