South Fork Campground

Composed of 60 sites and situated near Bonito Lake, South Fork Campground is one of Alamogordo's more extensive sites with excellent amenities and activities catered to every type of camper. Enjoy day hiking and backpacking the South Fork Trailhead and through the White Mountain Wilderness Area. Equestrians are also allowed to take their horses out on this trail and enjoy the lush lake side terrain. You can also enjoy hunting, picnicking, fishing at Bonito Lake, cycling and scenic drives which are spectacular are dawn and dusk. Also look forward to snow boarding and skiing int he winter months.

There are tent and RV sites with toilets, water, fire pit, dump station and laundry facilities. You're sure to enjoy your time at South Fork Campground, so be sure to plan a long trip to enjoy all there is to do and see!
