The Cooks Ferry Campground is located in the beautiful town of Fairfield, Texas and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Campers can look forward to nearby Lake Bardwell which is popular for fishing, canoeing, swimming, boating and kayaking. There's also the seasonal Ennis Bluebonnet Trails, Ennis Railroad and Cultural Museum and the Veterans Memorial Park. Visitors can also look forward to excellent local gifts shops and local eateries. At the family-owned and operated Cosmic Duck RV Park, we're proud to offer a quiet, clean, and secluded spot for long term stays, travelers, and modern day nomads to relax and call home. Our park provides friendly country livin’ with big city access. We are conveniently located away from traffic noise off State Highway 77 in Milam County—near the junction with State Highway 79 and just a few miles north of the small town of Rockdale, TX. We are “in the heart of the Texas Triangle” between San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas with easy access to Interstate 10, Interstate 35, and Interstate 45. This means a central location less than one hour’s drive from our closer metro neighbors Waco, Austin, and College Station, TX. Our park spans five and half acres, including a placid duck pond with three ducks and bass that visitors can catch and release! Deer often cross the Park in the morning and at night. Two cranes, one white, and one gray, visit the pond regularly. Make Cosmic Duck RV Park your new home. Parrie Haynes Ranch Equestrian Center is settled along the Lampasas River on about 1600 acres of Hill Country terrain. West Fort Hood borders our northern side. The acreage is teeming with natural wildlife and native plants with trails that wind through rolling native prairies, pastures, cedar/oak trees, and crystal clear streams. The Priddy Cabin was built here in 1859. Other homes were scattered across the ranch and have only foundations remaining. Please be careful and respect our heritage. Visit the Parrie Haynes Ranch Museum in the Clubhouse (not big but a labor of love for our history). Families welcome! A full service campground located in Central Texas. The main camp is about 24 acres out of 1600.  Currently, there are 40 complete sites with 30 & 50 amp electricity, water, and pens at individual sites! We have 86 pens and a few corrals. There is a half size arena, round pen, and a fun obstacle course for you and your equine to enjoy. The footing is a combination of sand, caleche, and rock.  My mule is not shod but if your animal is not used to this terrain, I would advise shoes or boots. Keeping Texas Trails open for Equestrians, Hikers, Trail-Runners, and Mountain Bikers.

We are just 15 minutes south of Interstate 20 via Hwy 49. We have Full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service. Spring Creek also has onsite & secure long-term RV storage. Whether you’re camping overnight or staying with us long-term, we have what you need! Laundry facilities are located on premise, and for those long hot days of summer, you can take a dip in the swimming pool. We offer wifi, sewerage, water, pool access and cable TV for all our guests. The Texas State Railroad Campground is located in the beautiful East Texas town of Rusk and is a great spot for a fun southern escape! We offer campsites with water only, water and electricity or full hookups with 50-amp service and sewer. The Grounds offer picnic tables, grills, fire rings, laundry facility and WiFi! There are separate showers and restrooms onsite, a water splash pad, nature trails and a campground office complete with sundries and firewood for purchase. The 15-acre Cherokee Lake is where fishermen will find a variety fish including crappie, catfish, striped bass, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, bluegill and largemouth bass. Whether they are casting, spinning or flying fish, chances of getting a bite are good! Onsite, travelers may look forward to historic sightseeing. For the history buff, there's plenty of other historic sites, a number of green spaces of nature walks and scenic viewing and of course, visitors may expect great local eateries and bars to enjoy.
