Newly opened in 2023! At the family-owned and operated Cosmic Duck RV Park, we're proud to offer a quiet, clean, and secluded spot for long term stays, travelers, and modern day nomads to relax and call home.

Our park provides friendly country livin’ with big city access. We are conveniently located away from traffic noise off State Highway 77 in Milam County—near the junction with State Highway 79 and just a few miles north of the small town of Rockdale, TX. We are “in the heart of the Texas Triangle” between San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas with easy access to Interstate 10, Interstate 35, and Interstate 45. This means a central location less than one hour’s drive from our closer metro neighbors Waco, Austin, and College Station, TX.

Our park spans five and half acres, including a placid duck pond with three ducks and bass that visitors can catch and release! Deer often cross the Park in the morning and at night. Two cranes, one white, and one gray, visit the pond regularly.

Make Cosmic Duck RV Park your new home. Or, come to stargaze with the ducks, roast marshmallows around a fire, and simply catch a break from busy days. We hope you’ll visit soon!

Vehicle Restrictions

All RVs must be well-kept and in good condition, road ready, licensed and have current insurance and registration. RVs 15 years or older must be approved in advance of booking by Park management. However, we don’t think ‘new’ is always better…if you have a funky or renovated old RV in nice condition, we love that! Our priority is that the Park community display pride of ownership. Too many ugly ducklings would sour the vibe!

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 8:00am CT. Please be considerate of all other guests in the Park. Avoid running generators during quiet hours. Parties are strictly prohibited.

General Rules

The speed limit is 5 MPH for all motorized vehicles throughout the Park. Registration and payment is due prior to arrival at the Park. Cash is not accepted. Guests can pay by credit card over the phone or during the online booking process. Same-day reservations are typically not allowed. Call us to discuss any exceptions. Note that access to the Park is not allowed for anyone without a reservation. For after-hours check-in with an existing reservation, please pull into your reserved site and check in with the office upon opening at 9am on the following day. Sub-leasing is not allowed. Solicitation or signs for the sale of products/services will not be allowed. RV owners are responsible for all damages caused by themselves or their guests. Cosmic Duck RV Park is not responsible for US Postal Service, FedEx,UPS, etc. letters or packages. Help us preserve trees; please do not cut trees or trim branches for firewood or dig up saplings. Dumping of any portable camping toilet water is prohibited. Dumping of any camper waste water, including grey water, other than at the designated dump station is prohibited. Cosmic Duck RV Park shall not be liable for any interruption in utilities (water, trash, sewer, and electricity) due to weather, “acts of God” or other activities that are outside of Park management’s control. With that said, Park management aims to maintain goodwill and a comfortable living environment for all guests—and will advocate in a timely manner on their behalf in the event of service interruptions.

Pond Rules

NO swimming in the pond! This is strictly prohibited. Fishing is permitted for “catch and release.” For the safety of our guests and wildlife, please be careful not to leave any fishing gear in or around the pond or other areas of the Park.

Site Responsibilities

Each site has a maximum of five (5) people, one (1) Recreation Vehicle (RV) or camping trailer, and one (1) vehicle. Of the five total people, no more than two (2) can be adults, and no more than four (4) can be children. All empty RV sites are subject to rental; please do not allow awnings or any possessions to impede empty RV sites. All premises must always be kept clean and neat. No storage sheds, structures, or under-RV storage may be placed within the assigned site or anywhere else in the Park. No decks, clotheslines, freezers/refrigerators, fencing, barriers or pallets. RV sites are not to be altered, expanded, or amenities shared/taken from other areas of the Park. Picnic tables, chairs, grills, fire pits, or other communal assets of the Park are not to be moved.

Campfires & Grills

Campfires are allowed only within the designated communal fire pit. Manufactured outdoor cooking/charcoal grills are permitted—or feel free to use one of our communal grills at the park! Please clean up after yourself when using the park fire pit or grills.

No Leaks

To keep the Park safe and clean, all hoses, sewer lines, and engines must be free from leaks. Texas law mandates the use of a sewer hose seal (threaded connector/rubber donut)—this is mandatory. If an issue arises with a leak while at the Park, notify onsite Park management and remedy the issue immediately.

Cancellation

A reservation is viewed as a “two-way” agreement. We hold the space, which you have reserved, turning away all future requests, in return for payment of your deposit. However, we understand that life happens and plans change. Reservations are fully refundable until one (1) day prior to the reservation start date; service fees and credit card processing fees are not refundable. Refunds are not guaranteed for guests asked to vacate the Park for violating Rules & Regulations.

Children & Visitors

All visitors must check-in at the office. Visitors must comply with all Park Rules & Regulations. Parents/guardians are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children and guests. Parents are financially responsible for any damages perpetrated by their children or guests. Children must be supervised and accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. Skateboards and in-line skates are not permitted inside the Park.

Alcohol, Smoking, Drugs & Firearms

Dispose of smoking materials in proper receptacles; do not throw them on the ground—this includes your site area. Smoking is prohibited in any Park building. Absolutely no discharge or use of firearms or fireworks is allowed. All weapons shall be kept in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. Cosmic Duck RV Park, or any of its representatives, staff or owners will NOT be responsible for people of any age driving while under the influence. Cosmic Duck RV Park has a zero-tolerance policy for ANY criminal or drug related activity. No warning will be given to guests if drug use or other activities are observed. We will contact the authorities if such activity is suspected on Park grounds.

Pets & Wildlife

Two (2) pets are allowed per site. Wildlife/farm animals are not considered pets and are not allowed. Call us to discuss prior to booking if you’d like us to consider an exception. We offer a designated dog park that all guests are welcome to enjoy. Dog kennels, pens and dog runs are not allowed. All pets (dogs and cats) must be on a leash AT ALL TIMES unless inside the dog park. Pick up your pet’s waste IMMEDIATELY and dispose of it properly. This includes around your site and anywhere within Park property. This is a health issue for everyone and if you do not comply you will be asked to vacate the Park. Park management reserves the right to refuse pets based on breed/behavior. Animals are the exclusive responsibility of their owners. Pets may not be left outside unattended. BEWARE: there are snakes in the area. Do not feed ducks or other wildlife. Do not leave food out for any animals.

Vehicle Rules

Guests must have a valid driver’s license to operate any motorized vehicle in the Park. No parking on roads or thorough-fares within Park property. Park your vehicle in your assigned site only. Any vehicle parked in a vacant site without management approval will be charged for the space at the daily rate. The operation of motorized scooters, ATVs, minibikes or any unlicensed motorized vehicle is prohibited on Park property. The washing of vehicles or RVs is not allowed on the property unless approved in advance by Park management.

Behavior & Nuisances

Excessive noise/nuisances created by guests and/or their visitors will not be tolerated. Common courtesy shall prevail between all persons on Park property. Obnoxious, profane, abusive or threatening language, behavior and/or actions directed at Park personnel or guests, or that could adversely affect the enjoyment of other parties using the Park is prohibited. The Park is located just 3 miles north of the small town of Rockdale. Rockdale has the quintessential Texas amenities: bbq, Dairy Queen, and several tex-mex restaurants. There are coin operated laundry facilities in town as well as a WalMart SuperCenter, Brookshire Brothers Grocery Store, Tractor Supply Co, and the Rockdale General Store. Oh, and you'll definitely want to visit the newly opened East Bell Taphouse on Rockdale's historic Main street.

Nearby worksites include the Samsung semiconductor facility in Taylor, TX, and numerous oil and gas sites within a 15 minute drive.

Marginal stop, water and electric only, no cable, our site had no internet. Pricey for what you get. Plus side.. staff were nice.

What a perfect find. It's quiet, secluded and the property is very well kept. On-site management was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable and setup. Definitely a place to stop at on a road trip or as a destination. Me and my wife will absolutely be back.

Pull thru was considerably off level. Needed blocks to completely level & I didn’t want to bother using them (site #20). The extra fees supposed me.

Campground Response

Hi Daniel, thanks for your review! This is the first time we've received this feedback for spot #20. We will check it out and see what we can do to improve it. Thanks for staying at Cosmic Duck RV Park and we hope you will stay with us again soon!

Nice quiet place to stay, best place you’ll find in the Rockdale area. It’s far enough out of town you’re out of the town hustle but close enough to restaurants and Walmart you can be at either in under ten minutes. Plenty of bass in the pond to catch and pass time also you can watch deer eat from the feeders from time to time. Only con is the phone service is a little slow and could use some Wi-Fi boosters if your on the far end of the park. Definitely will stay here again if they have openings so be sure to call way in advance!!!!

Thanks for the review Steven!

Joel was great! We loved the shady spot. We found the narrow road difficult to use when there was oncoming / two-way traffic. We liked the early morning birdsong, but the noise from Highway 77 was not so pleasant. The turn off 77 into the park was tricky due to the narrow road. Lovely place once we were were there.

Campground Response

Thank you very much for your review Georgia, we look forward to hosting you again at Cosmic Duck RV Park!

We stayed here over the weekend. It was very quiet. It is a small campground and well thought out. It was not the coolest out, so we didn't spend much time outside. The staff were amazingly nice and friendly. The only negative I could come up with are dogs were picking up allot of burrs. I spoke to the staff and they noted they are working on it. Please note: burr control takes lots of time and diligence. We brought dog pen with us, but before setting up, I blew it off with a leaf blower, then I put down an outdoor rug and all was good.

Campground Response

Thank you very much for your review Mark, we look forward to hosting you again at Cosmic Duck RV Park! (And we are still battling the burrs, and making progress!)

This is a newer park and they are working on getting it in shape. They are trying really hard and are very nice folks. Plenty of area between spaces. Right now all pads are grassy/gravel. Our RV was pretty level so we didn’t need to put down our jacks.
