Everyone was friendly. Nice location. Will be 5 stars once it is all completed.

Dina Taylor

I'm sure when he gets the campground finished it will be great!

Our reservation was changed at the last minute, said the site had a problem. When we got there, someone was parked in our spot. The site they “reassigned” us to was too small. No one was there to handle it. No one answered the phone. Also, it was raining and half the property was flooded.

Dee Murphy

The manager, Mark is really very nice. The area is quiet. The nightly rate was inexpensive ($50). And they had good WI-FI. But..that’s all positive we can say. Guess I forgot to read reviews before we booked. Bottom line is: this campground is still being built. It’s just pads to park at. There’s no facilities, no office/check-in site, no bathhouses, picnic tables, grills or pool. It’s all under construction. It rained our last day and many of the sites, I noted, got a somewhat flooded. Again, we know the owners are trying,’s just not ready.

David Dickerson

The guy next to us in a fifth wheel had his camper set up on the wrong side so we had to park toward the wrong side which meant we could not put out an awning , chairs or anything. We only stayed one night. Place could be real nice just needs some cash to get it finished.

Ernest Rivers

Nice camp ground, still under construction, but will be very nice when completed. Problems Nobody there to check us in, camper was in our reserved space so we had to move to another space after we finally got someone to come check us in. We are going back on the fourth of july

This Will be a nice park once it's finished. The owner has a great plan in mind. At the moment, it's a nice place to just get away for a night or two to relax or a great spot for a quick pull-in on the way to your destination being that it is not far off the interstate. Keep on your watch list.

Jimmie Bass

Amazing location and views but would have been nice to know that it was still under construction and none of the amenities were available, no one around on property, no Wi-Fi, no complimentary kayaks as listed, clubhouse not open or completed. But in the end it will be a Beautiful campground when completed

No electricity at our site and no available bathrooms made this not worth $50. Because of rain Saturday night we just had to stay put. It should be nice when completed but right now it just offers a slab of concrete to park on. We thought we reserved #32 but even the owner didn’t know which one that was because the numbers had all washed off the markers. Other sites seemed to have power and used their own in-vehicle bathrooms. Owner plans a restaurant there and more campsites. It might be worth $50 in future years but not with its current lack of amenities. The loud live band at the nearby honkytonk was pleasant but not what most people seek while camping. We want our $50 back.

Plus’s: quite, on water, internet great, nice people. Restaurant across street (Ya Mommas) had good food, great atmosphere. 10 mins from shopping, and Casino's. Minis’s: Beautiful building / bar/ restaurant “not open”. Some of the pads had large holes in concrete. “Good Work” needs to be done. This could be a great RV place. Just not complete yet.

Dan Trustem

This park will be outstanding when finished! We camped one night while traveling. Owner Mark has a great vision for the property. We will be back.

Charles Suttles

Very nice and well kept. Enjoyed staying there.

Kaylon Damazio

Great campground. Very clean and no “lifers” junking the place up. WiFi cable and very convenient location. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Leah Ferretti

The owner is very nice. We enjoyed our stay. We will camp there again when we come back to the MS Gulf Coast.

Timothy Cochran

The kids live this place. They swim, fish, kayak, and play in the sand all day. This has become their choice for the spring break holidays. They are already talking and making plans for next year. Great location and friendly helpful owner and staff near everything but out enough it’s quite and peaceful there is construction but it’s already a great place to visit.

I wavered between two stars and three. I'm hesitant to give a review that's all bad, because the owner and manager were both really nice and this place had the best wi-fi I've ever gotten at an rv park. On the other hand, Camp David still has not repaired the damage from Hurricane Ida in September 2021. It's a construction zone. There is construction debris strewn about. The roads are heaved and potholed. There are no showers or laundry room (luckily we have those in our motorhome). The wrought iron gate you see at the entrance on the website is gone. Some of the gravel sites have been replaced with concrete; some just have the empty forms waiting to be poured. It's quite rough. Curiously, though, we were not bothered by construction noise because there was only a small crew working (occasionally) on the clubhouse/office. I presume it's been difficult to get workers during the pandemic. It's a shame, because the location on Lake Wren could be -- maybe will be -- beautiful some day.

Gina was very nice and helpful, letting us know where things were around the area and places to go visit, etc. This will be a great place once construction is complete. Contractors were not cognizant and or courteous of paid park occupants. We picked up garbage laying around and threw into the dumpster.

Richard Jarvis

Potentially camp david could be good. The current reality is that it is a mess (10-5-21) due to the Hurricane that recently slammed the area. The campground was not anywhere near completion, and it seems the hurricane pushed them backwards by months. The roads are torn up, its a muddy mess if there is the slightest rain and several of the sewer hook ups are now non functioning. The owner and crew are trying to get back to where they were, but theyve along way to go. Beware; you may have to do major backing up in order to exit your spot. We had to reverse past numerous sites, including a 90 degree angle. Then back past the entry drives in order to leave. Roughly 125 yards in reverse with a 90 degree turn. The roads in the park are very narrow, the driveways very short, so your toad or truck must park on the road. The sights are TIGHT!! Another poor design aspect is many of the site’s hook ups are on the wrong side!!! Yes, on curb side of your RV. Certainly poor deign planning. Many of the sites are impossible to maneuver into with BIG RIGS. Too many sites squeezed in. At this point there are no amenities. Those are a long way off. The manager working out of her car (no office yet) was terrific. She really was dealing with a tough situation the week we were there. I believe her name was Gina. God bless her! Camp David will probably be nice in the future. However, there are some real size and design shortfalls. Don’t expect much for now. Would we stay there again? Perhaps, with a guarantee on a particular site that requires no maneuvering magic! I wish the owner luck and success.

Host was very attentive to our needs. Due to the recent storm the property was in recovery mode. They were trying to fix all the damage as quickly as possible but it was a major storm so there was a lot to manage. I think by next summer this will be a premier location to stay at. I wish them well and look forward to staying there again. Location is great and the access was easy to find as well as close to a lot of the activities we were there to do.

We had our space , we payed for weeks in advance, changed 3 times and ended in one of the least undesirable spaces. A space where the park expansion workers staged their tools and equipment , very muddy , noisy and terribly unsitely. Our original space was chosen because it was a premium site and we were given a conformation on it , but when we got there the space was given to an expensive motor home and so was the second space they reassigned us to. It was very upsetting to have someone choose to degrade us because , evidently our brand new 2021 camper wasn`t as good as someone`s older motor home. We had to wait extra hours to leave because of the construction work left the exit road out of our site unusable and had to eventually drive through a site that was finally opened after another camper left to be able to exit the park. It was extremely difficult and dangerous trying to maneuver very close to another campers vehicle. Overall it was not even a passable pleasant experience.
