During the month of October, with the release of water from the John Flanagan, Dickenson County and the Russell Fork become a popular destination for white water rafters.

Rutledge Lake RV Park is an RV park located at 125 Jillian Trail in Fletcher, North Carolina that features electric, water, sewer full 20/30/50 amp hookup sites for RV's less than ten years old. Visitors can enjoy an all night fishing experience in a private lake, free canoes and kayak use along with camp fire and picnic table access. We have a pool, paddle boats, and canoe free to use for our campers. Camp fire cold by 11:00 PM. Please call the number listed on your Reservation Confirmation Page for site questions. Go straight through the light and up the hill, follow the signs for US 23N/ US 74E * Stay on US 23N/ US 74E * Go approximately 8.5 miles (Just past Mile Marker 93) * Look for Green Balsam Highway sign on the right. * Take the next right on to Candlestick Lane * Take the first Right only 322 ft. on to Old Balsam Depot Road at the Moonshine Creek Bill Board * Go up a hill, over the RR Tracks, pass the Post Office on the Left, Follow the RR tracks .3 miles * AT THE FORK IN THE ROAD STAY TO THE RIGHT! * Cross the RR tracks a 2nd time on to Old Balsam Depot Road * The Balsam Mountain Inn will be on your Left * Stay on this Road 1.5 miles it will turn into Dark Ridge Road, the Campground will be on the left. We are close to the Blue Ridge Music Center, Mabry Mill and all of the beauty, shopping, wineries, hiking, cycling and paddling southwest Virginia has to offer.  Amenities & Activities Campsites include Wi-Fi, picnic tables, fire rings and charcoal grills. Guests and their pets can explore our walking trails and take advantage of hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing in the area. For motorcyclists and bicyclists, FGCC is a perfect stop along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We heve laundry facilities.
