Very nice campground that is well maintained and easy to navigate. Escort provided to site upon arrival was most helpful. Bathouse/restroom facilities very clean and spacious. Heated pool and playground appealing for children. Easy drive to downtown Asheville from site. All staff very helpful and friendly. Great stay!

Campground Response

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Please visit us again soon

Very nice place with friendly people. This was our second time here with the first last year right before the pandemic shut down. We camped by the lake and really enjoyed sitting outside visiting with family while watching the ducks. Good location with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. It may seem difficult to get in to with a large rig, but we had no trouble with a 41 ft fifth wheel and dually truck.

Campground Response

Thank you, please visit us again soon.

Check in and out very easy. Staff friendly and accommodating. Dumping at site was very easy. No toilet paper in first stall in women's room 3 days in a row unacceptable. Rocks detract from the appearance of the park.

Campground Response

I'm sorry this was your experience. We try to keep up with the demand in our facilities. We hope you will visit us again in the future and if you have any complaints please feel free to call us and let us know. We will try to fix them as soon as we can.

We got there a few minutes after the office closed. We knew we were going to have to park our dolly in overflow. We had barely gotten our car unloaded when the host showed up to guide us to the parking and assist in parking our camper. The location was quiet, but convenient to shopping and restaurants. We will be back when we visit family in the area.

Campground Response

Thank you, we look forward to having you here again.

We love this RV park - all the amenities and friendly staff - can’t be beat! We have already booked our site for 2022!! Could definitely use a website revamp as it is a bit outdated and not very mobile friendly!

Campground Response

Thank you, we are working on the website.

Nice park, helpful staff. Within two miles of airport and interstate, but surprisingly quiet. Enjoyed Site 74. Also had to pay to bring 4 friends in to “see our RV”; I like the idea of registering guests and vehicles, but would like to see a “free” 1 hour visit option. We’ve seen the paid guest policy other places, too. Glad to hear the potholes will be fixed. Good stay. Thanks for asking.

Campground Response

Thank you, we hope you will visit our park in the future.

I would give 5 stars to this camp ground if it wasn't for the giant pot holes at the entrance to the park. The pot holes are unavoidable. Other than that it is a fantastic place to stay, clean bathrooms, our lake front site was level and very relaxing. Nice camp store and very friendly staff, the park is conveniently located only a 10 / 15 mins away from many stores and restaurants, and 30 mins away from area attractions. WE WILL STAY HERE AGAIN

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. Now that the weather is warming up, we will be addressing the road issues. We would love to have you visit us again!

The gravel for the site was ok and level but the large gravel everywhere made it hard to walk around. The wood bundles were small for $5. And $3 everytime they open the gate for a guest was excessive. The pool seemed nice, we didn't go in, and the sand pit climber seemed good for kids.

Campground Response

Thank you, we hope you will visit us again in the future.

Rutledge Lake RV Park was quiet and clean. We were there for two nights and had an enjoyable time. The lake is fed by a small stream that runs alongside the park. All in all, the setting is very nice. Many of the RVers seem to be long term occupants but this does not detract from the park because everything was neat and tidy. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. There is a nice laundry area and also a clubhouse available for guests. We would definitely come back here to stay.

Campground Response

Thank you, we hope you will visit us again soon.

Although we were there only one night, the staff made sure we were very comfortable. We had a fantastic site on the lake.

Don't stay there. I stopped at this hole in the wall place for what was originally to be a one night stop that turned into 2 nights because their gate closed on my 5th while entering the campground causing damage to it. (That is after being inside the gate between the truck and 5th wheel). I could not get a hold of any in charge personnel and finally was given the owners phone number of which I could only text with. I was asked to get estimates then I was told it would be turned over to insurance and now they are referencing a line on the invoice saying they are not responsible for accidents and denying any responsibility for the damage. Aside from the lack of professionalism and lack of ability of having the very basic skills of managing a business the place is a whole in the wall. Sites are small and unleveled. Very tight turn around for larger RV and 5th wheel. Certainly not worth the price nor the exposure to such in-apt people while you are on vacation.

Very convenient because of family members living in close proximity. We have stayed at Rutledge Lake multiple times. Clean park friendly staff.

Can’t pick site you want! You have to pay and then they place you wherever when you arrive, sites are so close together, couldn’t even get to my hook ups for water and sewer without tripping over neighbors rug., way too close

Campground Response

Please call ahead next time and request a larger pull-thru site. We do not promise site numbers, we do guarantee site type. This is pretty standard practice for campgrounds.

Had a wonderful time. It was our first. Enjoyed getting on the water with the paddle boat.

Park overall nice. Site 61 is right next to walking trail so lots of traffic. Cable did not work, only 3 analog channels. WiFi was spotty.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. Please call the office if you are having cable issues. Sometimes it can be our cable system or an issue in your trailer.

Rutledge Lake RV Park is a very nice park and very well-kept, we were parked in space 45 right next to the laundromat. The cable TV works great and they were very Helpful about helping you get parked. I would recommend this park and would return to it if I come back to that area.

Campground Response

Thank you! We hope you visit us again soon.

Nice park but very disappointed with some things. Couldn’t get ice there, office didn’t have any quarters for laundry room, no little store on site and we wanted to use the ping pong table in the rec building but office didn’t have any of the equipment to play (supposed to sign it out to use it). Most of the games were missing half the pieces in the rec building too. Too bad about these things as it made it inconvenient and frustrating.

Campground Response

We do keep all the equipment here at the office/store. We do have the store closed due to Covid, guests normally knock and we can get them what they need.
