POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Yellowjacket nest the owners knew about next to our site. They sprayed it during the day, making the wasps more aggressive - STUPID on their part. My husband was stung and had a severe allergic reaction, almost dying. Owners just made excuses, refused to refund anything, costing us a very expensive ER visit and wrecked our trip.

Campground Response

Trina, Our customers safety and comfort is always most important to us. Mark responded quickly and effectively to your request to treat a wasp nest on Saturday night. This was the first time we had heard of the nest and he was sure to let your family know not to go near the nest especially once it was treated. We are sorry that your husband was stung by a wasp but was happy to see that he had a speedy recovery and was able to enjoy the rest of the weekend at your site.

The park is very well maintained. You can tell the owner takes pride in the park. The place is laid out so that almost every site is creekside. Bathrooms are placed all throughout the park. plenty of parking. extremely nice bath house with 4 showers and dressing area separate as well as 4 toilet rooms also had 3 washers and 4 dryers, looked very new. plenty of hot water. we stayed in a camping cabin which had a full bed and sleeping loft. the loft is very large, 3 10-12 yrs old as well as 3 3-4 yr olds fit up there nice and comfy. they have camping cabins, fully equipped cabins, rv sites as well as tent sites. every site has a grill/fire pit and picnic table. they gave a camp store with firewood and just about anything else you need or forgot to bring. the town of sylva nc is only 15 minutes away and it has fast food, restaurants and, grocery and a walmart.

Great place to just chill, relax and listen to the sounds of nature. We go at least two times a year. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The campground is clean and inviting. Everyone is so friendly. Looking forward to going back!

What a piece of heaven! Site 75 fit us perfectly (40' 5th wheel). The creek running right behind us was just great to listen too and made the temperature just perfect. The grounds are well kept and staff is real friendly and helpful. Location is close to Blue Ridge Parkway and about 20 minutes to Maggie Valley. Looking forward to our next stay in October.

It’s in the middle of nowhere so that makes it quiet. You have to be careful coming in and out because there’s only one way in and out. Scary when you see another camper going the opposite way. Staff were super friendly and the bath house is amazing!!

Located in the beautiful mountains of NC (On Hwy 23/74. Between Waynesville and Sylva) is a sweet retreat. Most sites are on the creek, the staff is super and the location is convenient to lots of activities if you are so inclined. We are workamping and will be here until Nov. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
