We stayed at Updog 5 nights during the Old Threshers Reunion. What a great campground. Beautiful campsites. Steve the campground manager is great! Very helpful. We came back on our return trip and stayed an additional night. We are looking forward to going back next year. Staying at Updog is like visiting friends!

Campground Response

Thank you so much Barbara for the nice review! We appreciated your business!!

Campground clean and for the most part quiet. A little hard to find due to poor signage and another business in front of entrance so road just appears to go to that business. Had all hookups but sites pretty close and only a few tables. Also additional $9 charge for something called a platform fee. So thought there would be a pad. On grass - no pad.

Campground Response

We thank you for your review of our little campground! We do not charge a platform fee. That is something that Rover pass charges to initiate the reservation. We try to warn folks of this on our website and let them know a convenience fee is charged and that they can call us directly. We wish you safe travels this summer!!

This property was ideal for a stopover in Mount Pleasant. It is very quiet and has some shady spots but the are a bit difficult to position the camper properly. The utilities are not well placed so we had to pull ahead in the morning to dump. The sunny spaces are quite easy to park in and nice and level. Nice shower house. Fire ring appears to be shared and moved around to different sites as needed. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of WiFi because I purposely chose the proper because my husband had to work using the internet. When I inquired after the password I was told they never installed because it was too expensive. That needs to be removed from the website.

Campground Response

We appreciate your review, as we didn't know "wifi" was listed as available from Rover Pass. We had it removed. With the amount of trees we have, it makes it too costly for us to install for the size of our little campground. We hope you enjoyed your stay otherwise.
