Great park. Nice facilities (laundry, showers, rec room). Friendly staff. Grounds are kept up, but it gets muddy when it rains or snows. Need more gravel or pave the roads and sites.

We have stayed at Crossroads several times. We find it an easy in and out from the highway. It is always clean and well maintained. Mt Pleasant has many restaurants and gas stations to help make it a very nice overnight stay.

The rv park, itself, is very nice! Clean, well organized and spacious. The issue is NOISE!! Constant train traffic all night! Horns blaring! The tracks are less than 1/4-mile away. And quite a bit of freeway noise, too! It's all by about location, location, location and this park doesn't have it. Spent three (3) sleepless nights. We would have moved on but we were visiting our son who lives in the immediate area. Next time, l'll drive 30 minutes more to find someplace quiet.

We loved this beautiful little park. So clean and easy to get in and out of. We have a big rig. Hosts were also very nice. Had a great walking trail that you could access from the park. Definitely will stay there next time we are in Mt Pleasant visiting family. πŸ™Œ

Folks in the office were super helpful and friendly. I was in need of a few things for my motorhome and they gave me a map directed to the Bowling RV Sales in Ottumwa and they were really nice folks there too.

May 18,2022, my husband and I spent 5 nights at the Crossroad Park. The employees are so kind and accommodating to your needs. We have stayed here before and that is why we came back. The campgrounds are kept very clean, and you have full service on your lot. I wish more camping area were as clean and nice as The Crossroads RV Park. I highly recommend this campground for a short stay as well as a long stay. Sloan, Iowa

Website says that all sites have firepit and picnic table - ours (#9) didn't have either. The place is very clean and nice, but at the crossroads of truck routes, so very, very noisy. Also trains nearby that run (and blow their horns) all night long.

We were passing through and this was a stop that go us close enough to visit with a high school classmate was the reason for choosing. The park had our paperwork on the door and no one was around at 2pm on a Saturday. That was a little odd, but beyond that all the spots I noticed ar large pull through that had enough room to parked my Ram, 40' camper and our guest Honda Pilot on on the stone. We just stat for an over night so didn't need to use many of the amenities. I did go to the bath house to wash up after hooking up. It was large and very clean and well taken care of. We have already booked it as a return stop for the trip back home.

This is a nice, convenient small town RV Park within the City limits, 2 blocks from a HyVee supermarket with diesel and gas. 90 foot long pull throughs and 80 foot long Back-in’s. Friendly camp host and staff.

We were in site # 1, level and wide. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. It was a very clean campground.

Campground Response

Everything we expected. Exactly as it was described on the website. Easy highway access and easy to maneuver to the level gravel pull-thru site with our 43’ rig + Tahoe. Great water pressure and many cable channels. Close to shopping and Pilot fuel stop. We also received the 10% veteran discount and found the staff to be very friendly. We would absolutely stay here again.

Campground Response

Kenneth, thank you for staying with us. We look forward to your next visit through Mt. Pleasant. Glad that you found everything to your liking. Save travels and we look forward to seeing you again.

RUDE....RUDE!!!!!!!! AND RUDE!!!!! After having brake trouble for 3 days, turning all 3 days into 14, 12 and 12 hour days (that should have been 4 hour drives) we make it to this plain unshaded campground after 8 at night. Pulling my camper through a site, at 2mph, my camper ran through some grass. It caused no damage, no ruts, no nothing, the ground was hard, and I was going very slow. As I got out of my truck, a very red faced man, and I mean red faced, steaming mad, starts yelling at me, dramatically pointing at the ground, "Is that you who just ran through my grass!!!!" He continued to yell for a couple of minutes, I even after I said, " I apologise about that, didn't do it on purpose, I'm just tired"! After a couple of minutes he storms back to the camp host's camper. Normally, I would have told him where to still his grass and campground, but it was way too late to drive on after a 12 hour day and i had already paid for the site online. Besides that; the campground is a very small, unshaded pile of dust. If you have kids don't expect the playground to be anything more than a set for 5 and under kids. Do yourself a favor and and read how others say they are rude here and fined a different campground.

Campground Response

All of us at Crossroads are sorry you had a bad experience. As you mentioned you drove through the grass as well as drive into the RV space backward. As for the "red-faced man", I would suspect his face was red from the heat as I am sure he was working to keep our park looking pristine. Correct, our park does not have very much shade, but our park is only 11 years old, so the trees have not grown to full height yet. You are also right that it can be dusty sometimes. The weather is dry during July in Iowa and, therefore, dust tends to kick up. We welcome others to read our reviews because there are many more good reviews than bad. Sometimes, things just don't work out and this was one of those situations. We wish you all the best as you travel.
