Indian Lake Park is a 177-acre, city owned park.  This delightful retreat is an ideal location not only for fishermen, but for picnickers and campers alike.  In addition to the 44-acre, no wake lake, the Park has many tree-shaded areas for the non-fisherman, as well.  A lovely two-mile nature interpretive trail encompasses the lake and is great for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing in the winter. The lake has a roped-off swimming area (swim at your own risk-no lifeguard) and kayaks and canoes are available for rent.

Whether your interest is camping, fishing, hiking, picnicking, or a reunion, you will find Indian Lake Park the perfect setting. We hope you will visit us time and time again!

Everything was real good. Got dusted out by farmer when he picked beans. Also b great if they had concrete pads instead of gravel, gravel makes it hard to level camper. Everything worked great. Manager was awesome easy to work with and helpful.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review! We are glad that despite the harvesting and the gravel that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Indian Lake is the best! We camp every year & our stay is so relaxing, it is absolutely beautiful this time of year, I would stay for 2 weeks if I could. The grounds are always well taken care of. April does an amazing job taken care of the campers as well! Roverpass is so easy to use, 5 minutes & I have our reservation done & paid for. Awesome!

I enjoyed the time we spent at your camp ground. The only thing I didn't like is how much the sites were covered in dirt. It got into everything.

Campground Response

We are happy you enjoyed your time. We try very hard to keep grass growing in the campsite areas but sometimes the shade is too much and we can't get things to grow. We hope that you will return in the future and try one of our water and electric or full hookup sites where there is more grass and concrete.

Absolutely perfect venue for our family reunion! Tables already had plastic cloths on them and even flowers on the table. Access to a refrigerator was a plus. It was clean and our whole gang appreciated it!

Campground Response

Nice Park. Lake was beautiful. My only issue was paying for a shower and there was no toilet paper in the ladies room. Maybe I missed it, but I couldn't buy any wood for the fire ring. Maybe I was supposed to bring my own but didn't know that.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review Toni. I apologize for not having toilet paper in the ladies room, I try and check a couple times a day but must have missed it. The wood sales are from 8am-5pm, unless we are running for park supplies. We hope that you will return in the future and spend some more time with us. Thank you for staying!

Plan to bring your own plates, bowls, eating utensils, sharp knives, large spoons, can opener, etc. They have very little of these items in cabin 4. They have plenty of coffee mugs, though. We did not have a need to use pots and pans so I don't know what shape they are in. Also, bring something to get onto the top bunk if you are planning to use the top bunk. There is no ladder or rungs to climb. Once up, it was too dangerous to come down without help so I pulled the mattress off the top bunk and put it on the floor. It was workable but not ideal. Windows let the light in but you can't see out of them. On the positive note, it was quiet and when a major storm came through, it was very solid. The microwave worked but it appears they put a glass top on the turn table that wasn't compatible. It slides off when turning and goes clunk clunk clunk against the door as it turns. But it works so that was good since we had all prepared food that we just needed to heat up in the microwave. Coffee pot works. Didn't try the stove or oven but it looks brand new. Also new floors. Very easy to clean. Toilet area and shower is small but adequate. Large people may have trouble. For the price, I would consider it again if going to that area.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. We are working on restocking the cabins with utensils and dishes and I did note the problems with the beds and no ladders. We are hoping to replace windows this fall/spring and do some other upgrades and improvements to the cabins. We hope that you will return again in the future. Thank you for staying with us

We love having our family reunion at Indian Lake. This was our 5th year at the park. The people are friendly and helpful. Even though we have had some issues in the past, we have never thought about switching to a different location. We will continue to hold our reunion there for as long as we can.

Campground Response

Rebecca we are so glad that we were able to make the issues with your reservation work for your reunion and your family members. We are even happier that you have continued coming to Indian Lake all these years and will continue to do so. We look forward to seeing you next year :)
