This place is a dive. Run down cabins and trailers all over. Junk in the yards. seems they may have 2 or 3 campsites for travelers and the rest are junk seasonal lots. WOULD NOT stay here again.

If you like rustic this is your place. You couldn't get nicer owners. Wonderful people. There are some permanent people there so just know that. No frills place but at 35$ bucks for an overnight you can't beat it.

Everyone from the staff to the campers was very friendly. The park had a lot of extended stay campers. It was very tight sites, no room for outside dog kennel, The campground had alot trash from previous campers all over the ground. We reserved a 50 Amp site but they put us in a 30 Amp site, They advertised a swimming pool but it was filled with green water. All in all ,I feel we got what we paid for. It was very quite, very shaded and everyone was friendly.

We REALLY enjoyed our stay. Would love to be back, but it might be a good while. We live in Ohio. Site, utilities, help with issues, laundry, trees (love 'em!!!) - all was very good. Wifi was on the fritz; hope that was just a fluke. Price is great as well. Thanks for an enjoyable stop.

Campground Response

Thank you so much. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love to see your smiling face again. Bless you.

Lisa was incredibly nice. It served our purpose as a stop on the way to our final destination. Seemed safe.

We stop at this park nearly every year on our way to Florida, and again on the way back North. There is always a warm welcome and a pleasant stay. Thanks, Paul and Alan!

Campground Response

Thanks for staying with us. Come again whenever you can!

Very nice spot for an overnighter. The gentleman that runs the place will bend over backwards to help you out.

Campground Response

Thank yo so much. We are very proud to have you camp with us! Paul, Susan and Lisa

For people that give this place poor rating, they haven't spent much time camping. If your expecting luxurious "Glamping" rent a spot at a KOA and spend 3 times as much! For what we paid, I feel it was a fair, heck the service and kindness alone was worth the price! I'll be back!

Campground Response

We are so very happy to have you stay with us! Paul, Susan and Lisa!

Super friendly and accommodating! Feel free to call the office direct! We arrived late but they were still there to be sure we found our spot and allowed us to settle up in the morning. We didn't use any of the services but water and electric as we didn't even unhook. After a long drive stay safe and get some rest. We'll definitely be seeing them again!

Campground Response

Awesome and Thank you! We are proud you stay with us !

People were friendly and helpful. Bathroom/shower are a big deal with our family. They were old, rundown and dirty.

Campground Response

We are upgrading as we speak and hope you’ll give us a try again so we can earn your business. !

It was so run down!!! Very poor place and shouldn’t be advertised with pics from years ago!!! False advertisement !!

Ok except for one thing I’d say this is a 3 star based on conditions today. However there are new owners who are quite helpful and are working on improvements. I’d ignore those earlier very scary reviews. Very quiet and crazy easy pull throughs. No real amenities at this time. Worked out very well for us. Anytime I don’t need to use leveling blocks I’m a happy boy. Stayed at an upscale resort on a concrete pad the night before where I did. Give this one a year or two and likely a 5.

Brand new to RVing. Just got our first travel trailer. Was running behind due to dealership issues. I called ahead to let him know. Paul was very nice and awesome offering to come help us hook up. Although we didn’t need help, it was nice to know we could’ve called. It was very quiet. Our pull thru spot was plenty big for us. Definitely would recommend it if you’re traveling thru Georgia.

We had a great time, and the owner was so helpful. He called to check on us when we didn't arrive at the time I said we would, drove us around the site to find a good spot, loaned us a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine, showed us where everything was, and was just super friendly and made us feel welcome.

Facilities were poor. Showers/restrooms poor. Power supply at site DID NOT include a circuit breaker. Management was very helpful & friendly.

A hidden gem in the foothills of South Georgia. Southern Gates RV Park is a sweet, up-and-coming location to spend a night on your travels. The owners are very honest, kind people who recently came into the property last year (2020). Throughout our stay, they were working hard on the upkeep of the park and giving it a metaphorical fresh coat of paint. We were given a large pull-through full-hook-up site that was very easy to drive into and out of, and had no issues with any of the hookups. The amenities and facilities were clean and they were very pet-friendly! Although it’s less than 5 minutes off highway 75, the park is nestled in a soundproofed wooded area so you don’t feel like you’re right off the highway.
