Very happy with our stay! The owners are very accommodating, and when we arrived earlier than anticipated for our stay they welcomed us right in to our site. Great central location to stay for outdoors activities for biking the Pine Creek Rail Trail as well as trout fishing.

Campground Response

Glad you had a good time!

The campground itself seemed ok. Our first experience was this...the night before we left there was a group or so of drunk people singing at the top of their lungs and setting off what sounded like homemade fireworks that sounded like small bombs going off. When I called the campground the owner wasn't very helpful but just tried to brush off what was happening. She said she didn't think they were at her campground down by the lake but after we hung up they stopped a minute or so later. We never checked out the restrooms so not sure how they were. Thankfully we were not at the campground that much. We won't be coming back but for the price, I guess you get what you pay for. They did have free wifi included though which was nice.

Campground Response

Thanks for your review, we're sorry that you were not happy here. We do take all complaints seriously, and while I have neither the means or authority to check people's blood alcohol levels to say if they are drunk or not, we did ask the people having a good time to quiet down, and they were quiet (and remained so) by our quiet hour of 10:00 PM. The fireworks were not in the campground, but in the town of Watrous. Like it or not, fireworks are legal in Pennsylvania. I seriously doubt they were homemade as they opened up in the sky like professional fireworks. Only about 4 or 5 fireworks went off and they were done by 10:00 PM. I have video proof from our security cameras of the times and location of the fireworks in town. You are welcome to stop in and review the footage if you desire. Actually, I may post the footage online so anyone who reads your review can check it out for themselves. If anyone lit fireworks inside our campground they would be asked to leave immediately. Note: Edited to add link to fireworks video. https://youtu.be/8ePkIJw9V1g (copy and paste link if it isn't clickable) The camera presented looks south and caught the fireworks being lit in the town of Watrous. You can tell that they're not in the campground from the delay between the flash and the noise.

Was looking for a nice place to stay for a family weekend getaway that wouldn't break the bank and found it! The Wildwood camper was great! It was so nice inside. Very spacious bathroom for a camper. Only 2 complaints...campers are pretty close together (not a deal breaker...enjoy meeting new people) and the queen mattress was very uncomfortable. We were able to make it more comfortable by using mattresses from the bunkbeds that the kids weren't using like a mattress pad. They made the bed SOOO COMFORTABLE that we were sad we weren't staying another night! Don't hesitate to book here. We would DEFINITELY stay again!

Good value, centrally located to the attractions we wanted yo experience. Restrooms very clean. We rented the Terry cabin. It was cozy but the fire pit is not in a level area, perhaps you could add some stone and kevel up the seating area.

Campground Response

Hi, thanks for the review, and the tip about the fire ring.

We were there during Labor day weekend. They put off really nice fireworks and did tractor train rides for the kids.Thee campsites are very close together and the bathrooms need updated but we're clean. We visited some other campgrounds near by and decided that out of the other 2 we visited we would go back to Snyder's.

We loved it here! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Lots of privacy on our tent site. Wood and ice were available. We were there 4 days and never left. Great fireworks, and although we were by the pond, very few mosquitoes.

The camper was spotless, and perfect for what we needed. Fantastic camp ground and close enough to everything to not have to drive an hour to see stuff but far enough away so you get to take in some sights on the way. And so close to nature too. Having a fire going and hearing those coyotes hunting those nights we were up there was magical.

The site was adjacent to Rt. 6, but fairly quiet and spacious. Had electric and water only. We did not need use of any facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rates were per Passport America.
