So I will preface by saying this was our first rv camping experience, so this is an uneducated opinion. The campground is quiet, but no frills. The website says 30/50 hook up but it is only 50. The public showers were locked and there was no obvious place to dump our garbage. Wifi was non-existent. The owner/manager was friendly. It is a small campground with a much larger, busier one up the road. This one is small and only a handful of people were there- it was nice and quiet. The proximity is close to a watchtower, which is nice. While it lacked amenities I would expect at a commercial campground, I would return for a quiet stay.

Set out for a nice few quiet days to take in the tranquility and peace. Mission accomplished! As another party stated, not the ritz but would definitely come back. Two thumbs up for the attending of the campground owner John. Thanks again!!

This was a nice small quiet campground. We were at site #9, shared with a non/used camper, so we didn't have to share a site. Gentleman running camp very friendly and helpful. May not be the Ritz, but we enjoyed our stay ! And would come again. Thankyou, for a nice week.

What shower? No one said anything about a shower. What Wi-Fi? No one told us anything. Jammed side by side- site #3 (motorhome) it was quiet but that was the best I could say. Was very run down. This was my least favorite RV Park ever. But no sites available in the state park and this was close. Adequate for a 1 nite stopover.

Campground Response

Did you ask about showers? You did get a site with full hookup? (you did) Motorhomes do have showers in them unless you ask to know where the showers are. Did you ask for Wi-Fi password to get on the net work? By the way cell or Wi-Fi not the greatest with the amount of people in this area. Sorry your stay was not that nice.

RV site 1 had no picnic table, or fire ring. I really could have done with out the Trump flags and signs located around the facility. I see the political crap all week long and the last thing I want to see on a get away weekend is political garbage

We had a large group for a bachelorette party. Originally we had booked to stay in tent spot number 7 but had a large group and were unsure of parking due to it being fall and most of the paths were covered with leaves. I asked the owner if we could change to spot number five to accommodate our large group and he switched us without hesitation. The tent sites were very pretty in the woods especially in the fall. I would camp here again.

A campground with personality! John, the owner, wears many hats and manages a wide array of services with a laid back attitude and friendly hospitality. I loved the Labor Day weekend I spent there. The primitive campsites are nestled into the woods well; and, for John, I think there’s room for more. If your lucky enough, you might meet Fred, the pseudo-campground supervisor, a venerable one no less. The kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, so to speak, and ensures you have a stay you’ll remember for a lifetime. I lucked out as he’s not there all the time. Although anecdotal, all this is to say, can’t wait to go back! Also, for the pragmatic types, can’t forget to mention the bathrooms were clean and the showers we hot with great water pressure. There’s also a bar with pool tables, restaurant, and more all on-site.

Second time back tent camping and we love the secluded sites.

The campground was nice enough, secluded and quiet, but the hookups were a mess! We had to share water with 2 neighboring sites because theirs didn't work. Our sewer hookup had woodchips in it and flooded when we tried to empty. The motel it was behind was a bit shady and we never did find the women's shower room.

Campground Response

As regarding your sewer hookup this is the second time I have had wood chips dumped into my sewer line .Not saying that you clogged the line but I did not think to check it before you checked in. I think other camper that have young kids are putting things into the line. My shower room is unisex and the door can be locked when either sex is in the shower room. Sorry if you think that is shady.

Booked here thinking it was a different campground. Very peaceful as we were the only ones there. Couldn't fit in lot 9 a reserved due to a large tree. Spoke with owner and was told to park wherever I wanted. Backed into lot 7, had to get power from lot 8 and water from lot 9. Luckily no one else was there. Lots of junk around but very peaceful and close to Grand Cayon. Only stayed 1 night out if 2. Family felt uneasy staying another night.

Campground Response

My water hydrant on lot #7&8 had gotten damaged from the last people that where there. There for it has to be dug up which is a big job but in the interm water can be gotten from lot #9.The only thing you had to get from the other lot was just water.Sorry your family is uneasy about staying some where it is peaceful.

We camped 3 nights. It was quiet, lots of shade and grass, not overly crowed! Had everything we needed! Owner was nice and very accommodating. This campsite is for those that don't need everything to be "perfect". My husband and I loved it! I was even able to hang my hammock, can't do that in many places as campers are too close. Very close to the PA Grand Canyon and the Fire tower.

If you're looking for flash and dazzle, keep moving. If you seek peace and serenity, large sites, friendly non-intrusive staff and a glorious view of the stars, this is your place! John is available and accommodating, a wealth of info on local attractions. Our site was very beautiful and shady, as were the wooded tent sites. We will definitely go back!

Wonderful experience. Peaceful and quiet. WiFi was great. Owner was helpful. Easy back in with 33 foot 5th wheel

Not a good thing to say, except it was quiet. Me and my brother in law and sister were the only two campers. Three others were there fri and two left to go to another place. The other left next morning. We stayed just because It was the two of us and it was quiet. There is not a firing at every campsite there’s not a picnic table at every campsite and when you ask the owner if you can get a firing he tells you to go to one or other sites and use the firing at another site don’t take that can’t firing to your site just use it at another site so you’re not even by your campsite. The guys a nice enough guy I just think that he hast to put a lot more effort into this campground for it to be any money. The campground looks like a junkyard there were broken down They were broken down mobile homes junk piled up around the mobile homes and in other places it’s just not a place that portrays any kind of a campground.

Camp sites were decent, John was very helpful. Great food and beer selection at the bar. Shower had hot water. It's a great location for riding motorcycles in the area.
