Many HU options...We needed a place for 6 days to fill up a in between week. Office lady was VERY helpful and got us in with a move in the middle. Choose IRC for its location close to the Apostle Islands and multiple Minnesota state parks along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Stayed first 3 nights in a 50 amp FHU (#1, back in), gravel pad, grassy site, next to the one bathroom/shower house. Not real level but made it work, showers and bathhouse fairly new, clean and very busy. Playground, laundry, camp store, no pool, dump station is a hole in the ground, multiple dumpsters overflowing. Fishing dock, canoe dock, walking trail adjacent to water on park perimeter. Lots of young adults in tent sites filling in the center of the park -tent sites with electric and water. Major Minnesota bike trail nexus just outside park, Day 4 , moving day (a Friday, booked way in advance) was upon us and we had to move to a 30 amp, back in, almost gravel and grass, level, Electric and water site. Very Hot for Duluth 93° and the power could NOT keep up. Breaker (60????) for our group of 4 sites flipped twice... the maintenance man did NOT have the keys but the fireman who was without power and kibbutzing took care of it...he also was an electrician and reset it when it tripped again 3 hours later. Overheard him telling his group to switch their water heaters to gas...no more problems. Next morning we moved to another 50 amp FHU site (#6), a gravel/grass pull through, kinda tight, leaning trees on the entry and close tree in site so no awning, with branches to dodge upon leaving, no real problems. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
