Rules & Regulations

The following rules were established to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and maintenance, with a “Good Neighbor Policy” in mind. Since every contingency cannot be covered in a set of rules, from time to time, modification may be necessary. Your compliance is very much appreciated and will ensure a pleasant stay for all guests.

Emergency & Safety

* If you need to call 911, and time allows, please call the office so the manager can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site. * If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call 409-225-2020, 24 hours a day. * Emergency Contact Information forms are required from all monthly guests. This information remains private and used only when a situation arises when we need to contact someone in the event of an emergency or is sought by law enforcement agencies. We never give personal information out to others.

Visitors

* Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest always. * Overnight guests must register at the office and are subject to a $5 fee per person per night. * Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by the guest ALWAYS while in the park. * Please notify the office if you are expecting a guest prior to their arrival, so they will be allowed to enter the park.

Personal Vehicles

* Vehicles must be well maintained (no oil leaks) and operate in a safe manner. * Speed limit in the park is 5 MPH (miles per hour). * No repairs or maintenance may be done in the park, except by approved park mobile services. * Inoperable or unlicensed vehicles are not permitted in the park. * Vehicles are to be parked only in the space intended. The common areas are not for parking. * Never park in an empty site or on the street. * Drive only on the roadways and never through an empty site. * All vehicular noise is to be kept to a minimum. Please be mindful of your neighbors when warming your diesel engines — they can be very loud. * Recreational use of motorized bikes, motorcycles or ATVs within the park is not permitted.

Recreational Vehicles

* Each site is limited to one (1) RV and one (1) vehicle. If there is room on your site, you may park an additional vehicle if it does not stick out beyond your site area. * The RV must be well maintained and in excellent overall condition. * Galveston County mandates the use of sewer gaskets/seals. Do not leave sewer hose connected permanently as they may be damaged. Use RV tanks to store sewage and then connect hose and flush as needed, and then clean and store hose. * A manager will escort and guide the parking of all RVs. Please notify the office if you want to move to another site or your RV needs to be repositioned, as the manager must be present.

Pets

* All pets must be registered at the office. Maximum of 2 pets per site. Remember — cats are pets too, and the rules apply to them. They are not to be let out to run loose. * The following breeds are NOT allowed in the park: Doberman Pinschers, Pit Bulls, Pit Bull Mixes and Rottweilers. * Pets must always be on a leash with the owner when outdoors. Pets cannot be tied outside and left unattended. * Guests must pick up after their pets. The walking trail is equipped with doggie bags for your convenience. We read a LOT of reviews prior to booking and they were all very complimentary of the staff and grounds. They were spot on about the staff! They couldn't have been nicer and accommodating to us with our special request to turn backwards so we could face our friends as we camped. However, as seasoned campers (20 years) - the sites lacked a lot to be desired. The spaces are entirely too close together. The neighbors septic is so close if you use an outdoor rug it is at it or has to go over their septic hose. We were turned around so we of course didn't keep our septic out because it would have been in our gathering area... but our friends septic was right at the outdoor rug of the "on site" rental unit behind them. Staff asked us if it wasn't any trouble for them to not stay hooked up to the sewer so that it wouldn't be an issue with their renters, but our friend wasn't having it. His sentiment, "We paid for a "full hook up" and we should be able to have a "full hook up"!"... he's not wrong. So in closing... nice folks for sure... for campers with your own RV, we wouldn't recommend it. But those wanting a night or two in a rental, I guess its ok if you don't mind having a sewer hose at your front door and another camper 8 feet in front of you.

Nice views for sure. Unfortunately it was extremely windy which tested the integrity of the trailer. The trailer rocked very badly in the wind and all vent hood seals are broken causing EXTREMELY LOUD BANGING NOISE at night. Of course this prevented us from sleeping. I notified Dave of this issue and hopefully it will be corrected so future tenants won’t suffer like we did. In addition, there were mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers so we couldn’t put any of our belongings away. Again, I notified Dave about this issue and he stated it was most likely due to the recent cold weather and he also stated other trailers had the same issues.I feel if renters are being charged a cleaning fee, these are things we shouldn’t be finding in the kitchen drawers or anywhere else for that matter. We paid a cleaning fee for the next customer and hopefully it will be CLEANER than we found it. We know it wasn’t throughly cleaned because there were baby toys left in the bedroom (we threw away) and poop in the toilet from the previous renters. Not acceptable. That issue along prevented my daughter from using the toilet. In addition to the floors being absolutely filthy, the reclining chair and loveseat are completely worn out and disgusting to sit on, the mattress on the queen bed is completely worn out and the pullout bed in the loveseat is completely shot. Due to the bed issues, we had to purchase an air mattress to sleep on. After I explained these issues to Dave, he told me he had air mattresses we could have used but we were unaware of this option. Dave also offered to give me some free firewood for our troubles but I had brought my own wood from home. Hopefully the other trailers are in better shape than this one. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend staying here due to our experience. Sorry. Larry&Julie McDonald

Campground Response

Hi Larry & Julie, I do apologize for the problems that you had during your stay. Unfortunately, you caught us at a very bad moment. Our cleaning person had been doing a good job, but then she had some personal problems and it reflected in her work. So when you notified me about the problem with the camper, we had to let her go. But now we have a new husband and wife team that are doing much better and I am inspecting the campers also to make sure that this doesn't happen again. If you do decide to come back and give us another try, I will be happy to let you stay in our best camper for free! Thanks, David

Awesome!! First off park host Erin and Jay are great! Hailey’s Beach & Bay is clean, well kept, good water pressure. The location is perfect for birding, fishing, beach, or just watch the sunset/sunrise. Stayed for a week. Everyone is friendly! We’ll be back. See you later friends.

A nice campground. Not really an RV resort. Disappointed with the wifi because we had been counting on it for work. Staff was really great and helpful.

Good: quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds to see. Level. WiFi is slow but usually works eventually for surfing the net, not for streaming. Bad: Not enough gravel so there was mud and standing water when it rained right outside our door. On a canal was pretty but the mosquitoes made it impossible to sit outside.

We stayed in the bunkhouse last weekend. It was a nice trailer and had all the amenities. This is a great place to stay! Cold A/C, grill and picnic table outside was great also! I would recommend staying here.

The owner to this place is extremely nice and has three RV's for rent. However, our RV had a good sized leak when it rained and several items we had got wet. Also the floor in the RV was weak and we were afraid of stepping on it in certain places and the grass needed to be mowed.

We enjoyed our time at Hailey''s. The good: It's right in the middle of the Intercoastal Waterway and the beach. The pads which are white rock, probably over crushed concrete, are level and don't endanger a rig sinking if rainy. They are pet friendly and have fire rings at many sites. The power is strong and the utility poles are easy to access and all in good shape. The wifi is strong most of the time. There are trash cans evenly spaced and the trash is emptied regularly. We saw people fishing from the campground in streams that must be off the ICW. The not so good: The sites are close together. There isn't any grass and the 'side yards' are sand.

This RV resort had full hookups and well-spaced camping spots. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the park's location. We would recommend Hailey's and will return sometime!

Great clean place to spend time at the beach. RV spaces and RV rentals. I spent 4 days fishing and beaching it. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice and quiet basic RV park. It's new so I'm sure improvements will happen as it grows. Owners were friendly and there's a canal right next to park. No amenities like a bath house or washroom. No shade whatsoever and no frills. A couple of shared firepits but not at every site. Planned to fish canal but was mesquito heaven with grass 3ft high so that was very disappointing.

Campground Response

Hi Lisa, Thanks for your review. We did just finish installing a Laundry Room and will have a Restroom completed in a couple of weeks. Also, we have started spraying to kill the mosquitoes, and we are putting out more grills. But, thanks for your feedback, and we hope that you'll come back to see the improvements. Have a great day, Hailey's Beach-n-Bay
