We are less than one mile from Montauk State Park with it's access to the beautiful and pristine Current River and some of the best trout fishing in our state! Canoeing and kayaking is a favorite activity while visiting and there are several businesses with rental available for river water fun.

When we pulled in the camping site there was a pile of wood left from previous campers. I went fishing for about 2 hours and when I returned to find that the guy in the next camp site had taken the wood and stacked it up by his fire pit... I didn't pay for it and I don't think he did either just the fact that he would come over to the camp site while my wife was in the camper and take the wood..

Easy to pull through and set up. Quiet and full connections are a plus.

Nice and remote campground. All went well except there is barely any outside lights at night. The lots are spacious and well powered. There is no access to groceries or anything to eat so be prepared to cook at the camper. The worst thing we experienced was a wrong turn by GMaps got us lost in the hills for over an hour coming from the north and that caused some fear and tough driving issues. Oval though, a nice country campground!

Great location near Montauk State Park... the store was not open yet, but the rest of the campground was well kept and everything worked perfectly. I can see a lot of love and hard work has gone in to keeping this a nice place to stay. Will be visiting again for sure!

Always my favorite place to stay when trout fishing at Montauk. Full hook up is so convenient and sites are big and your not to close to your neighbors.

Cool downstairs unit of lodge. Lots of room to move around. Good shower. Everything you need for a long weekend. Fire pits and chairs were great for cold late night stargazing. Host is very cool and communicates well. We stay here almost every time we come to Montauk.

The camp ground was very peaceful. If you have any issues with your site there is no clear contact information beside a phone number on Rover Pass. Our firepit was at the end of our spot in a very odd place and not in the best shape. Whoever was there before us apparently does not know not to put rubber gloves, plastic bags, etc. in the firepit. I would have though the caretaker of the camp grounds would have cleaned it out. I asked my husband if he would go back and he said yes. The only thing not a lot of stuff to do around there. If you love to fish it's the spot for you.

This was our 2nd year staying here and we will continue coming back. It is a clean and quiet rv park right outside the state park, which is convenient for us because we come down every year to fish. We were disappointed we missed the fish fry and music due to a prior commitment. Maybe next year!
