If you want to experience very rude and unfair treatment where you will be mistreated and ripped off by the staff and ow era you must come to Eagle Cliff campground. Was double charged for the room without any options and negotiations and knees delivered to us after we already left the campground. Staff is very rude and unwilling to be reasonable, professional and understanding. Campground looks good but rules are ridiculous and staff and owners are very shady and make non sense decisions. Stay away if you want nice peaceful stay and don’t want to be ripped off.

This is a fantastic and meticulously maintained campground with over 200 sites from tent to FHU for big motorhomes and seasonal sites. All gravel lots but pretty level with minimal leveling required. It's a large campground but doesn't feel like it because it's spread out and has several different areas. The scenery is amazing. You're surrounded by the high, steep bluffs of the beautiful Root River. They offer canoeing, kayaking and tubing at the campground. The Root River State bike trail is just across the river and is a great ride. There are a couple playground areas, volley ball nets, horseshoe pits and large open areas for field games. There are a couple very nice and clean shower houses available and a nice laundry facility. There's also a small hotel on-site with five large clean rooms. The owners are very nice people and do all they can to make your stay a great one. Best campground we've ever stayed at and will definitely stay again.
