The Apgar Campground is located on the southern tip of Lake McDonald in the breathtaking Glacier National Park. Campers and sight seers can look forward to alpine meadows and pristine forests, and with over 700 miles of trails, is perfect for a relaxing mountain escape. Campers can look forward to hiking and mountain biking the various trails, and at an elevation over over 5,500 feet, is all steeped in a breezy, cool environment. Visitors can also take advantage of wildlife viewing, so keep your eyes open for bears, mule deer, moose, elk and small birds. Like fishing? You'll love this park for its abundance of whitefish, cutthroat, bull and rainbow trout. The Going-To-The-Sun road is a gorgeous and scenic drive, so be sure to spend time on this wonder of engineering.

We really liked it. Water and electric only, but had a dump station. Sites were all different sizes, some would take up to 40' rigs. Good place for a base to see rest of park. Non reservable. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
