It was nice and peaceful, watching the river roll past. Great location if you like fishing.

Uniquely beautiful place. Full-hookups and great T-mobile/Calyx reception as well.

We always enjoy camping here, it’s clean and quiet and love the full hookups, and the new bathrooms are a great addition

Nice relaxing place to Stay. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you are a boater or a fisherman or someone that just wants to sit next to the river and relax. Some sites might be a little tight for bigger rigs. I'm pulling a 35 ft fifth wheel with a F350 crew cab, 8 foot bed. I fit just fine!

Our site was clean and ready for us. We watched the Kaskaskia river from our campfire. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Plan to stay there again.

A very nice, quiet campground. Good for tents or campers.

This campground looks amazing!!!! With the new pavilion, picnic tables, fresh rock, full hook up, 50 amp service, new restrooms it is AWESOME!! The Kaskaskia River is steps away from your camper! Enjoy a half mile walk on the levee with a picturesque view! Have the kids bring their baseball, basketball, and rollerskates to enjoy the town park, on the other side of the levee. They even have a playground and a sandbox! Enjoy eating in town at Machetes Mexican, Bullpen restaurant and bar, and Village Pizza! Bring your golf cart or side by side too! Don't forget your boat! This campground is next to the boat ramp.

This is a truly hidden gem. I hope I'm not giving away my new favorite spot. Full hook ups, some pull throughs right on the bank of the Kaskaskia River.

This was an amazing, private campground right on the river. There is no management office, bath/shower house, or general store. There is nobody on site, but that's the way we LOVE to camp so it worked for us. They were even kind enough to leave our water on a little longer after the season had ended. It's really close to a city park and walking trail. We will be back, this campground is definitely a keeper for us.

Great functional campsite. wide spaces. If you are a big rig make sure and get one of the spots that you can pull through on the grass.

We tried multiple times to cancel our reservations but they were not cancelled. Rover pass site kept sending an error message each time. So sadly, we were charged for a stay that we did not attend.

Things were very pretty quiet while we were staying here, not many other campers, a few were either there overnight passing through or stayed for a couple of days to rest then moved on. I assume this place would be busy in the summer time with the river right there. Lots of locals using the boat ramp but wasn't a bother since it is before the campground. On the second day there was a storm and the electric was knocked out but I called and by the end of the day it was fixed, not their fault but glad it was resolved quickly. Other than that all hookups worked great (full hookups at each site), water pressure was good. Sites have typical to good spacing between each one. River created a nice setting, grass seemed to be well taken care of. Airforce base nearby so there were some helicopters that flew overhead but not an everyday occurrence. The highway 13/15 is close by so you get some road noise but it also provides convenience since the town is small and if you need provisions Freeburg is close by, has laundromat and grocery store. If we come through this area again we would definitely camp here again.

Functional site. Full hookups, fire pits. No picnic tables. Easy to get in to spots when empty. If the park was full there is no way we could have gotten our 44' 5th wheel into the spot.

Fantastic family centered place! I would definitely come back again! No sewer hook up at sites, but full 50amp and water. They have a great playground, private lake for fishing, and a swimming beach.

I've been here for 3 weeks and have atleast that to go. So far, everthing has been great! Grass is maintained well. I see a police patrol car patrolling the area every once in a while. Which is nice. Only complaint is the pvc sewer hook up sticks up too far out of the ground causes some difficulty while dumping gray and black water tanks.

just the bare basics---would be nice if the city could have an employee go thru park and talk with the campers every other day The park really needs a bath house and picnic tables at each site

It’s a nice campground but could use a bath house

Turns are WAY too tight for big rigs. 3 insanely tight turns, lined with giant rocks that force you to inch forward and backward til you squeeze through. No office or check in or anyone to ask questions or for help. The place is pretty and utilities were fine. But the poorly designed hairpin turns left us stressed and frustrated.
