1000 Islands Campground is a privately owned campground which focuses on a community spirit. At the playground you can find a wooden boat (Missbehavin'), Kidd's Kastle, and wooden Farmall tractor/hay wagon. Enjoy a wagon that provides occasional hayrides around the campground. The sites have their own picnic tables and many campers enjoy campfires in their fire rings. Many campers join in the many festivals that are offered by Alexandria Bay, Clayton, and Cape Vincent. Five miles from the Baseball Hall of Fame and downtown Cooperstown, three miles from the Dreams Park, Beaver Valley boasts 276 acres of wooded hills, open meadows, and spring-fed ponds. For those who want to rough it more comfortably, Beaver Valley has one-room camping cabins that sleep four.   For those who don’t want to rough it at all, Beaver Valley offers 13 fully furnished one-bedroom cabins and 3 fully furnished one-bedroom Tiny Houses that sleep 5.
