There's also an insane expense of clear skies above for stargazing so be sure to set aside at least one evening to look up at the iconic New Mexico light show.

Located in the Lincoln National Forest is the Slide Group Campground which can accommodate up to 90 people. Surrounded by mixed evergreen and aspen, this site is known for immersing visitors in a primitive wildlife environment where they can pause and appreciate nature. Access to the National Recreation Rim Trail can be found at the site, and there are plenty of amenities to ensure that groups can enjoy social events and plan group activities with ease. It is a partially developed picnic area with dispersed campsites with spectacular mountain views, and beautiful forestry all around.
