Overview

The Palomino Campground is located at Caballo Lake State Park and is a beautiful, quintessential New Mexico spot. Framed against the Caballo Mountains, the lake boasts spectacular and colorful views as well as a variety of water activities such as boating, swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Tired of the water? Visitors and locals alike enjoy land sports such as biking, hiking, horseback riding, birding and picnicking. Additionally, you can expect excellent winter time skiing, jet skiing and wind surfing, and with the iconic New Mexico sunrises and sunsets, be sure to bring your camera to take some great shots.

Amenities include: a boat ramp, grills, parking, picnic areas, showers, a playground, restrooms/flush toilets, dump station, comfort station, group shelter and information center. We can't wait to see you!
