Visit Lake Sumner to enjoy the exquisite terrain iconic of the southwest. Bring your camera to capture tall, looming mountains in the background and acres of forested plains. The park is popular maong people who love watersports, but also offers excellent trails and pathways for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The Jemez Mountains is the breathtaking backdrop for the Fenton Lake State Park in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. Surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pines, the park is ideal of wildlife viewing and hiking, and with the Rio Cebolla running through it, it's also excellent for fishing and canoeing. The river is well-stocked with rainbow trout and German brown trout; ice fishing is also popular there. The park also has a fun playground for kids making it well-sought after among the little ones, and is also known to attract cross-country skiiers during the winter months.
