The South Fork Campground is located in the Lincoln National Forest near Ruidoso, New Mexico. One of the most popular sites in the Smokey Bear District, this campground is near Bonito Lake, which means campers can enjoy great fishing, swimming and other water sports. Access to the White Mountain Wilderness Area can be found immediately at the south end of the Campground, so get ready for beautiful hiking and biking trails, and the opportunity to interact with local wildlife. Picnicking is also common among campers at this site.

The Cedar Cover RV Park is located in Elephant Butte, New Mexico, and is known for its iconic southwestern desert plains. It's a perfect place to skip the crowds if you're looking for a quiet getaway, since it's located at a lower elevation compared to the other campgrounds in the area. From here you can access the Three Rivers trailhead and hike, horseback ride and bike through the enchanting clumps of forestry and wildlife. Enjoy spectacular views of long mountain ranges and desert-like plains, and be sure to picnic under the clear night skies where you can catch a great view of the stars. This park is relatively close to Ruidoso, so stop by the city for some shopping, fine dining and to pick up supplies.
