Located on WV-28 in seneca-rocks, WV lies the Seneca Shadows. This campground includes laundry facilities.

Abrams Creek is more like a nature preserve than a commercial campground. On our campground, there are no generators, loud electronics, or other things that would distract from appreciating the sights and sounds of this pristine natural environment. Campsites and cabins are well spaced out, so that there is never a feeling of crowding. The campground has 20 acres of hemlock forest bordered by a wild whitewater stream. Some areas are boulders, pools, and turbulent water—great to watch or play in. One large area towards the end of the campground is a calm wading area good for children (with careful supervision of course), and just past that is a deeper section, 5’-7’ deep, that is good for swimming.  

Mane Gait Equestrian Center is a working horse farm in the heart of the blue ridge mountains. We have 140 acres of beautiful rolling hills and woods with walking paths to hike. Welcome to Middle Creek Campground! We are nestled back in a holler of the Blue Ridge Mountains at the foot of Fork Mountain. Set your compass for adventure. We are close to an abundance of outdoor adventures! Including the upper James River, the Appalachian Trail and The Blue Ridge Parkway. We are the care-takers of a small, rural, mountain campground and blessed to live among such beauty and be able to share it with like minded individuals and families. We offer 30 and 30/50 amp sites. All have water and electric. We also have some full hookups (sewer). We accommodate tents and hammocks to buses. Yes, as in 55' tour bus. It all depends on the driver. Located 6.2 country miles from I81 at exit 168 or just under 7 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway at MM 89/90 (Powell's Gap), or about 15 miles by Rt. 43 through Buchanan. Situated about 30 miles north of the Roanoke/Salem area and all they offer; and about 15 miles south of Lexington along the 81 corridor.The road in is a 6.2 mile asphalt VDOT approved country road. It winds through some of the most beautiful and diverse scenery. You''ll cross the James River, you will cross over the railroad track and then pass through Arcadia proper into the Jefferson National Forest. For about 2 miles you'll wind along Jennings Creek. Depending on the season it is an array of God's beauty. The last mile is from Jennings Creek to the Camp along Middle Creek Road. You will climb one mile to an elevation of 1158' along this state owned and maintained rural mountain road to Camp. Phone reception depends on your carrier, Verizon or US Cellular usually have good service. HOWEVER, the campground is in the shadow of Fork Mountain and reception in the lower campground service can be very limited. We do try to provide Wi-Fi, but it is satellite and VERY limited. If you need Wi-Fi, look into your options for bringing what you need. AT&T picks up in the upper campground and near the pool.
