VIP Vintage Grove

Located in our communal Vintage VIP section of camp in a shady grove are Gypsy Gene our 1956 Schiebout Little Gem camper and Beauty a VW Weekender Westfalia Wolfsburg edition camper van. Both are restorations in process, but are super cute, clean, and fun. Meant for romantics who appreciate things with some age and who know how to treat a delicate lady. As such, we do not allow pets or children at these sites. They share a fire pit under the trees and have a view of the pond, as well as, our resident goats, and are a two minute walk from our lovely bath house and camp store. They are the pride and joy of Camp Holly owner and vintage enthusiast Misha. Previously, this section of camp was reserved for our friends and family, but we feel it's too cool not to share.

Confluence Tent Sites

Camping at the confluence is about a five minute walk from the bathhouse, camp store, and parking. You may borrow our wagon to cart your gear to your site. Each site has its own access from the pond. Each site has a fire ring, and everyone shares a picnic table at the confluence. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome as long as the owners clean up after them. Sites are best suited for two-four people with tents smaller than 8x10. Sites are a few feet from the water. Site #17 is a bit larger and closer to the pond. There is an awesome swimming hole at the confluence. Sleep between the pond and the river on the back side of camp, or stay up all night fishing in the pond. The confluence is one of the special places on the property.

Lovers Lane Tent Sites

Named because there is a heart shape on a tree in the back, but the secluded sites are for lovers or just friends.  About an 8 minute walk from our bathhouse and bait shop  over two hills leads you back to farthest point in camp along the Holly River. With a swimming hole, and undercut rock you can relax outside of the wifi zone listening to the water.  An outhouse is just a short walk down the trail, and you are on a dead end trail unless you care to bushwhack uphill to connect to the hiking path. This space is suitable for two people and a smaller 6x8ish tent. There are two campsites along the trail, each with a fire pit and rocks.

Group Tent Sites

Our two Gypsy Group camp sites are on the river next to the Hammock Hostel. Conveniently located near the outhouse, but only about a five minute walk to the camp store and bath house. 4-wheel drive is required drive directly to the sites, but alternatively, we can help you tractor things to the site if you ask. There is a large fire pit in the middle and one in each site. A common picnic table is shared in the space, as is the beach and swimming area during higher water. This is a great place for medium sized groups of friends to all camp together, it will also be considered General Admission camping during festivals, and events. Riverside camping at its finest amongst the trees and ferns.

Hammock Hostel

Tents cannot be pitched in the Hammock Hostel area - hammock camping only! Adjacent to the Gypsy Group sites is the Hammock Hostel. Camping in the hostel is a great way to camp out for the least amount of money: only $10! You get two trees of your choosing and a communal fire pit and picnic table. Located next to our two group sites next to the Holly River behind the pond. No car parking, and its about a five minute walk up or down two small hills out to the bathhouse and camp store. There is a primitive outhouse across the way, and the area may be a little muddy when it rains really hard.

Be Kind

Our #1 rule - Please, respect your fellow campers and the campground surroundings. Help us ensure everyone gets to relax and have fun pondside!

Leave No Trace

We ask that you leave no trace after your stay at Camp Holly as our sites are built within the beauty of Appalachia. Please take all trash to the dumpster in the parking lot by the camp entrance when you leave. NO OUTSIDE FIREWOOD: DO NOT BRING OUTSIDE FIREWOOD. We are located in a forestry area with old growth forest and a community who’s prosperity is directly tied to those trees. Help us keep the forests healthy and free of foreign pests and disease. We sell generous-sized (larger than two pre-wrapped firewood bundles) squares for $10 in the camp store.

Pet Rules

Only bring your kind pets. Pets must get along with others if you bring them to camp. Keep your pet on their leash at all times and clean up after them. We love pets and have several including goats, chickens, cat, and two ducks. For their safety and the safety of all camp guests even sweet pups need to be leashes at all times.

We absolutely LOVE Camp Holly. Xavier is super sweet and his staff is amazing at keeping the cabins clean and ready for each guest. We keep coming back because you just cannot go wrong. He has made this place our home away from home.

Everything was neat and tidy upon arrival. I was greeted by a very nice lady that went over everything when we arrived. There were other cabins but ther area was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay there.

Camp Holly was perfect for our weekend mini vacation. We needed RV sites as well as a cabin and it had both. Everything was clean and well cared for. The staff was very attentive and there was a dinner and live music available one of the nights, which was great. The camp store has essentials as well as some great handmade local art.

This is a gem of a campground. The creek along the camper was very relaxing and the campground is spacious and clean. It has a modern and very clean bathhouse equipped with showers. We had an exceptionally relaxing week. I definitely recommend this little piece of heaven to anyone wanting to get away and relax.

Great place to camp and relax. Caught lots of large Rainbow trout and Largemouth bass in the stocked pond. Saw some bald eagles flying overhead. We drove 5 hours from Cincinnati and was well worth the trip. The camp owners and hosts were fantastic. Thank you for a much needed getaway.

The camp is beautiful and well maintained, the hosts are incredibly helpful and pleasant and the cabins are absolutely gorgeous. We were able to stay nice and warm in the cabin with the provided heater and the coffee maker and electric kettle provided my coffee drinking girlfriend and my tea drinking self with plenty of beverage options. We did not use the showers during our stay but we did check them out and we were surprised to find a bathhouse on the outside and a normal looking bathroom on the inside, heated and all. Well will definitely be returning to bring our little one for some fishing and to play with all of the critters. Thank you for an amazing anniversary weekend!

We had a fantastic spot right on the river with water and electricity for our Fall camping needs. The grounds are peaceful, with a lot of creative sites including a very cute and cool skoolie! Xavier was very helpful and super friendly. The bathrooms were pristine - a nice surprise. We look forward to returning next year to fish in the pond. We highly recommend this spot.

It’s an incredible kindness that this beautiful space is shared. Everything from the trails, the sites, the best bathrooms and showers in the US, it’s just so thoughtfully planned. Our kids had the best time roaming and playing on the property and in the creek. Make sure to stop into the Hometown Diner too, you’ll be greeted and fed like family. We’d never been to West Virginia before and now we’ve found a reason to come back! Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven💕
