The Deer Crossing RV Park is located in San Patricio New Mexico and only 14 miles of Ruidoso. The small town of San Patricio offers a quiet atmosphere to relax and soak in the stargazing and sights of New Mexico, but with Ruidoso so nearby, campers can also enjoy entertainment that's only a town away. Take in the historic sights and the stellar night life offered through the casino and horse racetrack, and the history that radiates from the Hubbard Museum of the American West, Fort Stanton and Lincoln State Monument. There's also tons of great local eateries run by creative culinary artisans. 

For a home base during your trip to Roswell New Mexico, consider the Town and Country RV park. The Long Point Campground is a primitive campsite right next to the Elephant Butte Lake State Park, and is one of the park's most picturesque sites. Settle right on the lake's banks for quiet, simple camping, and be sure to take advantage of the lake and all there is to do like swimming, water skiing, fishing and canoeing. The area is also prime for exploring so go out for a long hike or bike ride, and return in time to watch a spectacular sunset over the lake surface. On that note, be sure to do some stargazing while you're at this park; with clear, open skies, the light show is spectacular!

The Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort is located in Sierra County, New Mexico and is famous for its acres and acres of untouched natural terrain and spectacular sights. Filled with biodiversity, the area is an oasis of culture, fauna and flora, and is just a mile from the Elephant Butte Lake State Park. Enjoy hiking, biking and a plethora of water sports popular during the summer time. Campers especially love the excellent fishing at the lake; catch walleye, blue fish, bluegill, crappie and trout. Enchanted View RV is located in Elephant Butte, New Mexico, between Albuquerque and El Paso, Texas. Take day trips to small Texas towns or the bustling balloon city of Albuquerque, or remain at the park to enjoy hiking, sailing, skiing, museums, mineral springs, fishing, hunting and charming historic villages and ranches. The Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site is located in the beautiful, bustling city of El Paso and is a great place for a fun southern getaway. Campers can look forward to nearby attractions such as the Scenic Driver Overlook, Wyler Aerial Tramway, Plaza Theater, Franklin Mountains State Park, Hueco Tanks State Historic Site, El Paso Zoo, The El Paso Holocaust Museum and the Fort Bliss and Old Ironsides Museums. The South Monticello Campground is located right at the edge of the Elephant Butte Lake State Park and is a great spot for a number of great outdoor activities and attractions.  Enjoy stellar lakeside views and scenes that other campsites at the lake cannot and make sure to bring your camera to take pictures! Campers here can enjoy a plethora of great activities such as water skiing, fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing and paddle boarding, as well as enjoy local attractions in the city. Nearby is a visitor center (on Broadway) with tons of helpful guides so you can get the most out of your stay. There's also a museum for visitors to peruse and a ghost town nearby. Also be sure to look up at night to see the spectacular light show iconic of the southwest. 

Located on the rugged slope of the Little Florida Mountain range is the Rockhound State Park. Named after people who search the land for precious stones, the area is known to have an abundance of agates and quartz crystals. Several hiking trails also provide spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, and an easy means of taking pictures and witnessing gorgeous New Mexico sunrises and sunsets. Bike trails are also available, as are several winter activities and a small nearby swimming beach.
