Nearby is a visitor center (on Broadway) with tons of helpful guides so you can get the most out of your stay. There's also a museum for visitors to peruse and a ghost town nearby. Also be sure to look up at night to see the spectacular light show iconic of the southwest. 

Get ready to explore some gorgeous desert vistas at the Silver City KOA. Go hiking, biking or just exploring around the campground, or head out to Silver City for some more conventional fun. The city is a hub for number attractions including some great spots like the Spirit of the Mountain Scenic Byway, Gila Cliff Dwellings Monument, Ancient Indian Ruins and a host of museums and art galleries. The city's historic district is also edged by great local eateries showcasing the culinary talent of residents, and even a brewery, so grab a pint and fall in love with the history and culture of the southwest!

The Sapillo Group Campground is located in the Gila National Forest and is a beautiful place to retreat into nature, and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Look forward to plenty of fresh air and acres upon acres of untouched land to explore. Campers especially love hiking and biking the trails, but you also have the option to go to the downtown Silver City area to experience the local attractions there. Get ready for a look into the history and culture of New Mexico with sits like the Ancient Indian Ruins, Spirit of the Mountains Scenic Byway and Gila Cliff Dwellings Monument. There's also tons of art galleries, live shows and great, local eateries to enjoy. 

The City of Rocks State Park gets its name from the incredible volcanic rock formations found here. The park is a mile from the scenic Chihuahuan Desert Region of southwest New Mexico, and stands at an elevation of 5,200 feet. The geological formation is made up of large, sculpted rock columns and pinnacles rising as high as 40 feet, and separated by paths or lanes resembling streets. After years of natural erosion, the formations have an almost other-worldly appearance, filling the landscape like towers against the beautiful New Mexico sky. 

The Grapevine Campground is located at the Gila National Forest and is a great place for exploring the beauty and serenity of the mountainous regions of Silver City. The east and west Gila River's join to offer campers excellent opportunities to fish and relax by the waterside, and there's also plenty of trails and easy-to-maneuver areas for hiking. Visitors can also look forward to horseback riding and mountain biking, and the plethora of great attractions in Silver City. Expect to be blown away by sites such as the Spirit of the Mountain Scenic Byway, the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the museums and art galleries that dot the old historic district. 

The Black Canyon Campground is located in the Gila National Forest and is a great place to enjoy a peaceful yet engaging southwestern adventure. Lose yourself among the challenging but beautiful mountain trails, and be sure to take in those spectacular New Mexico sunrises and sunsets, and go fishing or boating at the campsite ponds. Campers tent to gravitate toward mountain biking and horseback riding, but there's also plenty to do in Silver City. Enjoy great attractions like the Gila Cliff Dwellings Monument, Spirit of the Mountain Scenic Byway and the plethora of museums and art galleries near the historic old town. The North Highlands Campground is located in the Elephant Butte Lake State Park and is a great place for a quiet escape into the beautiful vistas of New Mexico. Look forward to plenty of hiking and biking opportunities, plus lots to do at the lake. Bring your gear for paddle boarding, water skiing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and boating. There's also an insane expense of clear skies above for stargazing so be sure to set aside at least one evening to look up at the iconic New Mexico light show. 

The Elephant Butte Inn and Spa is one of Elephant Butte's most luxurious parks. Visitors can expect a gorgeous campus with beautiful almost tropical flowers, mixed in with the typical mix of New Mexico foliage. With sweeping views of the lake, sunrises and sunsets at this inn are spectacular. The inn is also close to the hot springs of Truth or Consequence, and visitors enjoy onside golfing, water sports, ghost town exploration, museums, hiking, water rafting, wind surfing, shopping, fishing and rockhounding. There's plenty to do, so plan for a logn stay!
