There are many things to do from this general location!  Wine tasting, White Sands National Monument, Space Museum, Cloudcroft - explore this small mountain community, Three Rivers Petrogryph, Valley of Fire, Ruidoso - which is a great vistior attraction to include: shopping, horse races, casinos, fabulous restaurants, and great scenery catching elk, deer, and wild horses.

I’m sure it’s just me but I couldn’t find it. Saw the signs but wasn’t able to locate it. So I can’t comment on the park. Had to find and book someplace else.

Campground Response

I’m sorry that you couldn’t find the park- we’ve never had that issue before and our reflective signs make it very noticeable. We did stay up waiting for you to arrive into the wee hours of the night and we never received a phone call from you that you were having any troubles or issues because we would’ve gladly driven down the road to help you. I can’t imagine not even calling when you had already paid for a 2 night stay.

Great hostess! Christi was helpful and pleasant. The camp is well maintained and clean. Sights were leaves and water pressure was average. One note: the had the pipes insulated then put insulation inside a 5 gallon bucket. When you turn buckets upside down your hose and spigot are insulated. We also enjoyed our time watching quail tittering around the park

We stayed at Mountain Meadows RV Park for 3 nights while exploring New Mexico…. Crystal met us at the entrance and guided us to an easy pull thru with a Fantastic view of desert and the Sacramento Mountain Range out our living room window! Simple, clean quiet campground/ several full timers but very friendly. Free sled and wax for White Sands National Park and the dunes in the Super Clean Laundry Room! Several neat small towns to visit and the mountain drives were Amazing! Full hook up with 50 amp do didn’t use bathrooms/ showers , but they too were spotless!! We would recommend a stop here definitely!

The owners are amazing, so sweet. The campground is very clean, beautiful views all around. It is about 2 miles off the highway, so very quiet and peaceful. They had free sleds to borrow for White Sands. Highly recommend.

JoAnne and Jack were very nice and accommodating. Meeting us at the entrance and personally guiding us to our site. Even thought we arrived late (7:45). Very clean park, and clean flat site. Professional. Nice gathering area in the middle and clean bathrooms and showers (with towels!). Highly recommend.

We stayed three nights at Mountain Meadows RV Park, Tularosa, NM. Park was nice and level, gravel surface, but packed, not soft. Very nice Laundry Room ($2.00 wash and $2.00 dry). Large Clean restrooms with a basket of towels in each and hotel size shampoo and conditioner in the ladies. Dumpsters were centrally located. Smaller park, off the highway so no road noise. Cute Quail wandering around by the fence line. We camped at Mountain Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel. Note: Do Not Follow your GPS to Rattlesnake Road! The connector is through a wash and dips enough that most trailers and many longer vehicles will not get through. Use Mountain Meadows road, it's about 2 miles long, but easy to maneuver.

Great spot! We were able to go so many directions to see things from this campground. Fantastic Mountain View behind us. Laundry was a plus. Only downside were the dogs next door, barking a bit early and no owners around.

The warning is right: DO NOT TAKE RATTLESNAKE ROAD!!! From there you’d have to take Sanibat Ln to Mountain Meadows Rd. It’s the intersection of Sanibat and Mtn Meadows that would kill a trailer. Drive it after you’ve unhooked your trailer, you’ll understand. Sweet little park off the beaten path. We had site 10. By the end of our first day we decided that we want to rent that site forever because it’s on the end and is so roomy (every site is, actually), the mountain views are fantastic and we could watch a Gambel’s Quail family run from bush to bush in the open area next to the park. There is a lovely grassy area in the middle of the park that is kind of a place to gather, have a nice fire in the community fire pit, park your lawn chairs for a night of star gazing or entertain your visitors. The bathrooms are clean, the showers are very roomy. Laundry is in the same building as showers: 3 washers, 3 dryers, $2/load. About half of the sites are in use by long-term people. The sites are level, with colorful rock (I don’t know what it’s called, it’s like what you’d use in your garden). You can use your charcoal grill but there are no fire rings, though each site does have a picnic table. The hook ups worked just fine. (We did think the water smelled less than appealing, so we bought jugs to use in the trailer). The managers live on site (space 21, next to the laundry building). They guide you to your site, then you never see them again unless you need them. We still don’t know of there’s an actual office. Never got a rules sheet with park info. They leave you alone to enjoy your vacation, which is just fine. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is one of the long-term residents had 3 large dogs that were left penned and unattended outside their trailer during the day. Those dogs barked at everything that moved and no one was there to shut them up. That was the only negative. We want to go back someday. Maybe we’ll see about taking over space 10 forever…
