Look forward to hiking medium difficulty trails along the oasis-like terrain near the river, keep an eye out for birds, and of course enjoy the excellent fishing and boating at the Rio Grande.

The Stallion Campground is located at Caballo Lake State Park, a beautiful New Mexico oasis. Enjoy water activities such as wind surfing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, kite boarding, swimming and fishing. Looking for land activities? This spot is popular for its excellent nature trails for hiking and bird watching, climbing and horseback riding.

Located near the serene Caballo Lake and mountain ranges is the Caballo Lake RV Park. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in an idyllic desert setting, you'll especially enjoy your time at this park. Look forward to a quick walk to the beach at dawn or visiting the gold mines of ghost town nearby. Unlike other parks, Caballo Lake RV Park doesn't have a nearby train creating noise pollution, which serial visitors to the lake especially appreciate. They also love the hot mineral baths near the site.

With RV and tent sites available near the Caballo Lake, Appaloosa Campground is one of several campgrounds in the area. Popular especially among RVers who frequent the area, the campground is great for fishing at the lake, boating, wildlife viewing and of course, some pretty majestic New Mexico sunrises and sunsets. Walk to the nearby park office to chat with the rangers about the best canoeing, horseback riding and hiking spots in the area, and be sure to spread a blanket at least one evening to enjoy the cool twilight weather. The area is especially known for kite boarding and wind surfing so look forward to that!

The Elephant Butte Inn and Spa is one of Elephant Butte's most luxurious parks. Visitors can expect a gorgeous campus with beautiful almost tropical flowers, mixed in with the typical mix of New Mexico foliage. With sweeping views of the lake, sunrises and sunsets at this inn are spectacular. The inn is also close to the hot springs of Truth or Consequence, and visitors enjoy onside golfing, water sports, ghost town exploration, museums, hiking, water rafting, wind surfing, shopping, fishing and rockhounding. There's plenty to do, so plan for a logn stay!

The Mountain Spirits RV Park is located in Mimbres, New Mexico and is known for its proximity to the Gila National Forest and the Trail of the Mountain Spirits. The park is also close by Bear Canyon Lake, art galleries in Silver City, the Faywood Hot Springs, Mimbres Cultural Heritage Site and many other local attractions. There's plenty to see and do so be sure to stay for several days or a week. At an elevation of over 5,800 feet, park visitors enjoy insanely cool weather and gorgeous views of the desert vista and mountains. Hidden Valley Ranch is located on a "working cattle ranch" approximately 12 miles North of Deming. There are 6.6 miles of "Country Gravel Road" to get here, but it is worth the trip. Enjoy quiet nights, starry skies, rock hounding, petroglyphs, historical sites and an authentic ranch atmosphere. With 7000 acres of HVR land and trails, you can take your ATV for hours of fun. There are numerous scheduled and unscheduled activities include: potlucks, bingo, crafts, yoga, line dancing, Bible study, and daily coffee, tea times. Campers can take advantage of the book and video library, and a clubhouse with pool table and snacks.

The Little Vineyard RV Park & Resort located in Deming, New Mexico and is popular for the variety of nearby attractions. Visitors love visiting so they can cross the border and patronize the Pink Store as well as the beautiful St. Claire and Luna Rosa Wineries. Las Cruces KOA is located in the town of Las Cruces, New Mexico and is at a 4,000 foot elevation overlooking stunning views of Las Cruces, Mesilla Valley and neiboring mountain ranges. Other than the view, visitors come for the nearby attractions. Bring your camera and your historical knowledge to appreciate spots like Las Cruces' Old Town, Farm and Ranch Museum, White Sands National Monument and the site of the Gadsden Purchase. There's also plenty of natural terrain for you to explore and hike, plus iconic New Mexico sunrises and sunsets to soak in.

The Long Point Campground is a primitive campsite right next to the Elephant Butte Lake State Park, and is one of the park's most picturesque sites. Settle right on the lake's banks for quiet, simple camping, and be sure to take advantage of the lake and all there is to do like swimming, water skiing, fishing and canoeing. The area is also prime for exploring so go out for a long hike or bike ride, and return in time to watch a spectacular sunset over the lake surface. On that note, be sure to do some stargazing while you're at this park; with clear, open skies, the light show is spectacular!

Sunny Acres RV Park is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico and is popular for its close proximity to a number of local attractions such as: Historic Old Mesilla, the New Mexic Farm and Ranch Museum, Fort Selden State Monument, several wineries and the Las Cruces Farmers market. Visitors often use this park as a home base to visit cities such as Ruidoso, Hillsboro or to see the Carlsbad Caverns National Park. 

The Monticello RV Park located in Truth or Consequence, New Mexico is a great spot to relax, and enjoy a peaceful retreat away from life's busyness. Located on the rugged slope of the Little Florida Mountain range is the Rockhound State Park. Named after people who search the land for precious stones, the area is known to have an abundance of agates and quartz crystals. Several hiking trails also provide spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, and an easy means of taking pictures and witnessing gorgeous New Mexico sunrises and sunsets. Bike trails are also available, as are several winter activities and a small nearby swimming beach.

The Dream Catcher RV Park is located in Deming, New Mexico and is popular for the number of great sights and eats in the area. Visit City of Rocks, Rockhound and Pancho Villa for a tour through the history of the area, and be sure to dine at local treasures like the Lazy Lizard, the El Mirador Mexican restaurant and the Adobe Deli where the sandwiches are enormous! Also carve out some time to visit the National Guard Arsenal which is a pretty interesting place and is run completely by volunteers who are passionate about the area's history.
