The Galveston Bay RV Resort is located in the beautiful town of Baytown and is a great spot of an authentic Texas vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of nearby water-related activities at places like the gorgeous pond at the Bay Town Nature Center, Pirates Bay Waterpark, and there's also quiet a few public parks like the Roseland, Allenbrooks and Jenkins Parks. The Baytown Historical Museum is a camper favorite, as is Goose Creek Park. There's also the Evergreen Public Golf Course, Baytown Public Marina, Coushatta Casino and the Gulf Greyhound Dog Track. There's also a long list of excellent restaurants and picnic areas, and many out-of-town travelers are sure to pause at dusk with a small snack to enjoy the sunset and stargazing.  The San Jacinto Monument (tallest in the USA) & Battleship Texas, were about a half hour away. Other attractions visited within an hour of the campground include: The Beer House, The Orange Show, Smither Park Folk Art, Mount Rush Hour, Lighthouse Water Tower, 2/5th White House, and the National Museum of Funeral History. The River Forest Mobile Home Community is located in the beautiful and cozy town of Dayton and is a great place for an authentic southern vacation. In a quiet country setting just on the Trinity River, campers can enjoy great fishing and only a ten minute drive to restaurants, movie theater, bowling alley, grocery stores, parks vineyard and even a wave pool. Just beyond the park and slightly outside of the town are a number of excellent day trip opportunities and sites. Among them are the Lake Houston Wilderness Park, Escape It Houston, the Battleship Texas State Historic Site, Pirates Bay Water Park and Banana Bend.
