About Frankenmuth

Frankenmuth, Michigan Campgrounds and RV Parks

Frankenmuth RV parks and campgrounds are in town and scattered around the outskirts of town in the wilds of Michigan. Known as Little Bavaria, the town has a large Bavarian population and the townspeople love to celebrate their heritage and enchant visitors with the culture and traditions brought over from the old country.

Located just east of Saginaw, Frankenmuth is home to a number of attractions for the entire family. Perhaps it makes sense to begin at the Frankenmuth Historical Museum for a well-rounded understanding of what it means to be a citizen of Frankenmuth, and how the town’s history factors into daily life these days. Michigan’s Own Military and Space Heroes Museum celebrates and memorializes the legacies of Michigan’s native sons and daughters who fought for their state and country in various conflicts throughout history. The Mirror Maze Laser Vault is a massive space filled with mirrors and light that challenges guests to navigate their way through the confusion for their amusement. The town is also home to an assortment of breweries, distilleries, and wineries that offer tours and tastings. If the weather isn’t acting in your favor, there’s no need to worry, as Frankenmuth is home to not one, but two indoor water parks in the form of the Bavarian Inn Lodge and Zehnder’s Splash Village.

If you’re looking to get outdoors, make your way to the Festival Platz area of downtown where the Bavarian Belle Riverboat offers tours of the Cass River and its banks daily. The Adventure Park at Frankenmuth and nearby Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park round out the area south of town, making it one of the most popular spots for outdoor recreation in this part of the state.

For more of a natural experience, delve into wild Michigan at one or all of the nearby spots for outdoor recreation. South of town is the Genesee Recreation area along C. S. Mott Lake, or head west to the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, which offers miles of well-maintained trails that wind through this northern wetland.
