Campground is clean and has a great location!! RV pads are large concrete pads allowing for additional concrete space, no rugs needed. Not to mention you can see a great sunrise from most the pads in the campground, beach is within a stones throw and the fishing is excellent!! Great getaway!!

The owners of Sargent Beach RV Park are friendly and take great care of this property. The grass is fluffy and cared for, there’s concrete pads for your RV, dumping, electric, and water on site, and you are only a minute walk to the beach. The beach isn’t insanely sandy (which I love), the tide comes in at night and keeps it all damp and packed down. But during the day, there’s plenty of room with the tide out to set up your stuff. The section of beach where this small RV park is located, is not populated at all. In the week we stayed, there were possibly four other beach-goers that we saw. And they were nowhere near us, as there was plenty of room to space out. There is not trash strewn about. The trash we saw, we picked up to help keep it clean (maybe three of four pieces?). The only downside, if I had to pick one, is that there aren’t any trees around the RVs to block sun and wind. Regardless, we don’t care. We will come back to this small, gorgeous, little known, and secluded beachside RV park. We love it here.

Wonderful place. Everything was perfect. We will return. Anyone considering staying here should know that Sargent Beach is an unincorporated community. It's very small. There is not a lot going on there. We found a terrificdrive-though liquor store (Flamingo) which had food trucks in the parking lot. The barbecue was terrific from one of them. We also visited one restaurant, the Crab Shack, which was excellent. We both had oyster po'boys and loved them. Everyone we met in Sargent Beach was warm and friendly. The RV park is right on the beach at the Gulf. All you have to do is cross a quiet street to reach the sand. It's desolate - meaning there are not a lot of people around. So, if being in a quiet peaceful place is your goal, this place will be perfect for you. The site itself was perfect. Everything worked as it should. The sewer hookup had a threaded mouth - something we have not found at other more feature rich parks. There was only a couple of other slots filled so things were very quiet. The other guests we met there were charming. Just remember that you are going to a place that is not crowded. There are not a ton of activities for children (like pools and water slides), and no real extra-curricular entertainment. If you want lots of activity, go to bigger cities like Galveston or Corpus Christi. If you want peace and solitude, this is the best place we have found.

Campground Response

Thanks so much, you made my day !. See you next time, Craig

This place is great. Small which we like. All hookups worked perfectly. I had a question, texted Craig, and he responded immediately. Location is right across the street from the beach, so very easy to get to. Can't really set up on the beach for the day with big tents etc., but it was exactly what we wanted because we could just walk back to the park to rest and head back out to the beach AND it was not crowded at all even on a holiday weekend. The sunset from behind the park overlooking the ship channel was amazing. Big nice open area to walk our dog, plus the beach is right there for more exercise. We will definitely be back!

Campground Response

Thanks so much for the kind words. Love to hear it. Look forward to your return. Craig

We got to our campsite and tried to hook up our RV and there was no electricity. Thankfully we had a family member that knew how to install new breakers into the breaker box to get us going so that we had air conditioning in the rv.. as you know, summertime in Texas is no joke and we were more than hot for awhile. Hopefully everything is fixed now and no one else will have any issues with their electricity.

What a great time we had camping at Sargent Beach RV Park! It was so relaxing. Small park, respectful and friendly patrons. The guests in the beach houses were super friendly. The park is immaculate. Our only concern was the overflowing dumpster. It was overflowing when we arrived, and 5 days later as we were leaving it was emptied. We noticed that the new dumpster was a little larger, hopefully this will solve the trash problem. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back.

Campground Response

My new bigger dumpster finally arrived. Thanks for letting me know. I hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Craig
