We had no expectations for camping there. It was great with our kiddos, fun little trails and hiking, playing in the little stream there, and playing at the park. We have a camper and stay in the site areas with electricity. But their nonelectric sites were pretty great and definitely a in secluded in the trees experience. Only downside is that our site was right next to the yard light, so night was a little too bright. Fun things to check out in the surrounding area. Great weekend trip.

It was a nice park, but it would've been nice to have access to potable water.

Campground Response

Jo both red handled hydrants are potable water same as I have in my house. Press down on handle spring release will shut off.

What a great little camp ground. So peaceful with the little brook behind camper. The scenery is gorgeous! The highway is rather busy but not a deal breaker. We will diffinetly be back. Thanks so much.

Everything very clean and mowed. I don't like semi noise but in a few years the new trees that are planted will hopefully help that. Love the creek and all the walking trails. Great play area for little ones.

Had 2 spots this past weekend. Beautiful campground. Flies were horrendous. Maybe could have sprayed. Overall had a fabulous weekend

Everything was good. Well mowed and clean. We just wish it would have had a better dump station.

Little Yellowstone is a perfect little spot to get away for a few days. The campground is clean and the trails are so much fun to explore. Staff checked on us after we had set up to see if we needed anything. It is right off the highway and some truck traffic noise, but it will not keep me from going back!! I remember going here 45 years ago with my dad!!! Great place to make memories!!!

61 years ago was my first Kathryn end of school picnic at little Yellowstone... things have changed but the park is very well kept. campgrounds were great, grandaughters Myri, Lyra and Jaina Heise. (3,5,8) loved hiking, walking in the stream and playing at the playground.

Absolutely loved Little Yellowstone! Great weekend even tho is rained, poured, on Friday and Saturday. But we needed the rain. There could be a more visible sign as to where the dump station is and how to use the water spigots. Also would be nice to have a water source by the dump station to flush the black tank. Great time and campground!!

A beautiful place to stay. Plenty of room between parking spots. Not like a Walmart parking lot. Electricity, bathrooms, was no running water at the time were there. Don’t know if that’s forever or not. Running creeks with mini falls. Walking paths. Playground. No Wi Fi. Have to drive a half mile up hill to get out of river canyon. I think we’ll make it our first choice for a weekend stay. Wasn’t a ton of people there.

The campground is kept up fairly good. The Little Yellowstone web says Wifi but we had no service unless we went to the middle of the campground so that is misconceiving. (Only due to needing it for mandatory service.) We purchased 2 bundles of wood with 2x4’s and the wood was smoky/skunky smelling. The trails were awesome for hiking but limited biking. It’s geared towards kids with a nice playing area too.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review and helping me find the mistake in the Wifi. Scott

Trails need some upkeep and more signage/markings. A lot of potential, however. Restrooms could use an upgrade and showers on site would be a plus. But overall, pretty decent.
