Gulf Coast Camping Resort

Gulf Coast Concentration Camp is what their name should be. I was displaced by Hurricane Ian and ended up in this Hell-hole. To have the word "Resort" in the name is false advertisement, the pics on their website are not from that trailer park. That is very misleading as well. The pool was closed the entire 4 Mos I was there, the recreation hall was closed as well. They offered zero activities, no canoes, no pool, no billiards or basketball courts, no tennis courts, and no shuffleboard, although they do have run down courts. I learned on my first day that the trailer park owner evicted numerous residents that are disabled American veterans, and many other senior citizens, so they could get more money from the state for displaced hurricane survivors. Now that the busy season is approaching, they're mass evicting hurricane survivors to make room for vacationers which will bring in even more than they're getting from the state's Emergancy Management Agency. So Management goes around writing up frivolous violations One example being violation of noise ordinance for Emergency vehicles,(ambulance & firetruck),responding to transport my guest,(elderly cancer patient with Lymphodema) to the hospital, (no strobes or sirens were even used on the premises). Another frivolous violation was "Looking into the office window after hours,causing suspicion,and making the "guests"-like im not a guest myself- feel uncomfortable. Funny how nobody called the police. I received a text notification that my package was delivered and since the office is closed on weekends, a d closes at 5pm on weekdays. I was looking for my package. The packages are too often left outside the office door at the entrance to the park,as if it was left at a private residence. This provides access to the package to the general public lic and often leads to a missing package. Despite complaints about this, a drop box or a delivery slot has yet to be provided. Poor management,poor customer service, and greedy owner. I hated it there. if I had a way to give zero stars, I would.

Very friendly, quiet and accommodating park. We will certainly stay there again and would recommend it to our friends.

We stayed there Jan., Feb., March last winter. The sites are very large. It is a "no frills" campground that has an unheated pool, the laundry room has 5 or 6 washers but no hot water and only one dryer that works reliably. There are about 200 or so sites and approx. 70 of those are owned by individuals. I would not stay there again and would not recommend it, but if you're looking for something on the lower price range for that area then it might work for you.
