Will be packing up tomorrow and finishing off a two week stay. Can't say enough about how GREAT a visit it has been. This place isn't perfect, of course, but it's about as close to perfect as I can imagine. The ONLY negatives I can mention here are 1) the sites are a bit close and cozy and 2) there is not an on-site laundry. Flip side of those is that "cozy" is exactly what Franklin RV is all about and there are public laundries available within easy distance. There are only about 20 sites at Franklin RV; it's not a "big park" by any definition. All sites are FHU with both 30 and 50 amp available. The sites are reasonably level, but a few of them have steep approaches that are difficult to navigate. The hosts, however, are very careful to be sure the rig matched the site and won't put you in a place you can't access safely. The only way to describe the "atmosphere" at Franklin RV is to say it is completely comfortable. The park in general is beautifully landscaped and the hosts (Jim and Peggy Hormann) tend to the flower beds and the grass on a daily basis. There is a gorgeous outdoor "pavilion" and Jim and Peggy host an 8:00 pm get together most every evening -- complete with fireplace, rocking chairs and southern hospitality. We wholeheartedly recommend Franklin RV whether you need just an overnight stop or if you want to enjoy a longer stay in the Smoky Mountains. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
