Excellent place to stay, friendly as always!!

Campground is nice, but they have to many add on fees, I’ll try to find somewhere else next year. $20 event fee? I mean you’ve already sold out because of the event, seems greedy. $10 extra per night per person? Good luck affording this campground if you’ve got a family, $30 a night turns into $70 per night for a family of 5, seems greedy.

We've been at Brushy Creek before for this type of event abd have allways had great experiences. This was no exception.

I found the Lodge area to be 5 stars. The staff was very helpful, the facilities are very nice. I would give the primitive camping area a 2 or 3 star review however. The map that is on the website is a cute children's crayon drawing. This is inadequate especially if you are assigning camping areas by numbers associated on the "map/drawing." There is a porta-potty in the primitive area that has not been serviced in a long, long time. Even for an experience camper, it was pretty disgusting. Do you want your guest to use the area like horses and do their business wherever? Please place more porta-potties in the primitive area and have them serviced.

Campground Response

Hi Trevin, Thanks for your feedback. I apologize that you were not satisfied with the primitive camping area. Our campground is typically not set up for the amount of primitive camping that we had for the event that was hosted here this weekend, unfortunately. We accommodated where we could by opening up our newest addition (future annual RV sites) just for this event. This has never been a primitive camping area for Brushy Creek and was only used for the Cabin Fever event. I also apoligize that you are not satisfied with the map on the website, as we are also in the process of getting a new map for our website completed so our guests have a better idea of where they will be staying. As for the "outhouse" in the area that you were. It has been there for over 30 years and has not been used in over 20 years. It was a mistake on our part that we did not put a sign on the building "outhouse out of order" Our apologies. We hope that you found some conveniences in the two bathhouses that we offer at the lodge and lower campgrounds. Thanks for your kind words regarding our staff and facilities. We hope that you can come back to visit us again and have a complete 5 star experience.

Great team of folks down there. Even in an extremely rainy weekend, they were happy to support our group of riders.

Overall the resort is well maintained and the cabins were clean and well equipped. The Lodge is also very nice however the food quality in the dining hall can be improved.

Campground Response

We attended the Cabin Fever motorcycle event and the stay was awesome. Every single staff member was exceptional. The restaurant, game room are awesome and the restrooms and showers were always clean!

Campground Response

Hi Daniel, We were happy to host this event this weekend. All of our staff had a great time mingling with the guests. This was one of the nicest and cleanest group of people we have had. We hope to see you again in the near future, if not for sure again next year for the 3rd annual Cabin Fever ride.

Very nice staff. RV spots are about right given the remoteness of the resort. No AT&T cell service but the WiFi was excellent. If you enjoy the back country of Missouri this is a great location to hub out of.

Campground Response

Thanks John. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We look foward to seeing you again.

I have been going to Brushy Creek for 25 years and it just gets better every year. The people who run the place are wonderful. They care about the place, the people, and the horses. The property is beautiful and well maintained and the trails are worth riding for at least 25 years!

Campground Response

Thank you, Amy! It was great seeing you and Lynn!

If not for the UTVs coming driving in and around til 9, 10, midnight. Then banging trailer ramps/doors and having a hoot of a good time while loading after midnight. Music playing loud enough at the cabins to be heard down at the campsites til midnight and later. If not for that I would give this place a 5/5. Love the area, campground and facilities were great. Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed 10 days, horse people, dual sport motorcycle group, some of the utv group were all very friendly and respected the other campers. I was disappointed that after Friday nights late night music, late night driving back and forth of loud utvs, that the rules were not enforced by the campground. Saturday night was even worse. Before I booked my stay, it was clear to me from reading the rules that there was no after dark riding, a set quiet time for everyone, and a speed limit that was to be followed. The rules should not be there if they are not going to be enforced. It is a shame because it is a great place otherwise. I will not stay there again or recommend it to others for this reason alone. If you dont mind listening to utvs all night long, you will like it there. I prefer a place that is more peaceful at night and where I am able to get a good night sleep.

Campground Response

Hi Chad, Iam so sorry that it was like that, I did not hear the music in the house, please feel free to come to the house and let us know what is happening, I go to bed at 9:-930 and did not hear that going on! We will talk to the group that came and let them know that they disturbed other campers.
