The Alta Campground is located in the scenic wilderness of the Bitterroot National Forest, near the West Form of the Bitterroot River. The yellow-barked ponderosa pine tower over most campsites, and campers can also look forward to an excellent angler and trout fishing opportunity at the riverside. There's also plenty of space by the water for water sports like swimming, kayaking and some boating. While you're at the campsite, keep your eyes open for wildlife like elk, deer and moose, and don't be shy about exploring on foot or bike. There's plenty to see and experience. There's also nearby attractions for campers to enjoy, such as Hughes Creek and natural hot springs just 18 miles from the campground.

The Woodhead Campground is located in the beautiful town of Cambridge, Idaho and is a great spot for a fun and relaxing vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of great attractions just beyond the campground, including outdoor adventures at the Mundo Hot Springs, Hells Canyon tours, river rafting, kayaking and fishing, Idaho River Sports and the breathtaking Salmon Lake for even more water sports. Farther away from the park are even more opportunities for hiking and biking, as well as great spots for scenic and wildlife viewing, snow mobiling and skiing. And of course, there's a number of great local eateries for visitors and residents alike to enjoy.
