The Desert View Campground is located in the Grand Canyon National Park and is especially popular among hikers. Climbers get ready for peaks like the Moran, Grandview and Yaki Points which all offer spectacular views of the Grand Canyon. Our restrooms and showers are open 24/7 during the spring, summer and fall.  Our restrooms will be closed starting Nov. 5 and re-open early March.   Extras to Know • Please be aware we are located within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, there is a fee of $30.00 per vehicle to enter the Recreation Area. Golden Age Pass or Parks Pass can be used for entry too.  • Daily, weekly, and monthly rates are available. Please contact us directly for current rates on monthly and long-term stays.  We have opened up a few sites that have no artificial turf at a lower rate.

Our story begins with a little old lady, our grandma, who believed with all her heart we were worth it. After her passing, we dedicated Ethel's Hideout in memory of her. On this land we have built an RV park comfortably tucked away to provide a quiet stay away from the crowds. With 5 spaces supporting 30/50 amp water and power sites, one will never feel crowded. Given our convenient location, we border agriculture, state and public lands, providing an authentic western experience. Though tucked away to give the illusion of seclusion, we are located only 7 miles from downtown Kanab, Utah. Kanab offers many fun, exciting events and adventures throughout the year such as national parks, Zions, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Lake Powell to name a few. Bring your horses and reserve stalls for them as well! Whether its for a night or two, we hope to see you soon!

There is Wifi and access to a his and hers bathrooms, but no showers just yet. Our FHU sites, are sites 1 thru 44, and they include Electric, Water, Sewer and Wifi. If you book your stay for 30 days and over, we require a 100-dollar deposit for the metered electric. They are $38.00 a night. Please check with us on availability as we have a lot of monthly guests! We do try to keep 1 thru 8 available for short time stays. Upon arrival we will assign your space, there is no way to reserve a specific spot online. We do accept, Rover-pass, Passport America, and do give a 10% discount for our military and veterans. No combining them together though. We have two showers open in your bathhouse. Three are still under construction. Take It Easy RV Park is OPEN and taking reservations.  The owner of Take It Easy RV Park, Mike, is working hard to update the park and make it a safe and peaceful place for you to stay. We feature 44 pull- thru sites available with full 50 amp, and 30 amp sites along with dry camping and tent sites for those seeking more traditional camping.
