Lose yourself in the tall pines of the Little Oso Primitive Campground at the Heron Lake State Park in New Mexico. The lake is designated a "quiet lake," so boat operators cannot ride at wake speeds. Take your line out to the lake side for some stellar fishing, or go swimming, cruising or kayaking. To truly appreciate the park, make sure to chat with the rangers and learn from them the ins-and-outs of the canyon. Ask them about the best trails and picnic areas, as well as the best spots for stargazing. 

Abiquiu Lake is located in northern New Mexico and is known to offer some of the area's finest fishing opportunities. Look forward to a 5,200 acre lake surface, and an amazing panoramic view of Flint Mountain. You can also catch glimpses of pine, sage and and juniper among colorful rock formations, so be sure to bring your camera! There's an abundance of attractions in the area including: the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, a Ghost Ranch, San Pedro Wilderness, Bandelier National Monument and the city of Santa Fe. The Riana Abiquiu Lake COE located on a scenic bluff overlooking the scenic Abiquiu Lake in northern New Mexico.
