The Indian Trees Campground is located in the rugged Bitterroot National Forest. Campers can look forward to excellent fishing for cutthroat and other types of trout at the nearby Camp Creek. While visitors explore, they can keep their eyes open for wildlife such as mule and white-tailed deer, moose and elk, as well as smaller animals and birds. The Rombo Campground is located in a scenic area along the West Fork of the Bitterroot River, and is surrounded by yellow-bark poinderosa pine. This campground is popular for trout fishing at the river, as well as river rafting, boating and some swimming. The Painted Rocks Lake is also relatively close by for even more water fun and gorgeous views of the Montana wilderness. The Horse Creek Hot Spring is also nearby for a soak in pure, mineral water!

The Three Sisters Group Site Campground is located in the Bitterroot National Forest and is just across the road from the Rock Creek Horse Camp. Get ready for a gorgeous campsite with plenty of space to room and amenities to guarantee you a distraction-free stay. Visitors can look forward to fishing at Rock Creek, or just hanging out at the water's edge with friends; campers can also expect acres and acres of forestry for exploring, hiking and mountain biking, as well as picnic tables for group camping.

The Swan Creek Campground is located in the scenic Gallatin Canyon, so get ready for a plethora of outdoor activities set in a gorgeous wilderness terrain. Campers can expect wildlife viewing, so when you visit, keep your eyes open for moose, bald eagles, bighorn sheep, elk and deer. Visitors can also take advantage of water sports like water rafting, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and of course, world-class fishing. Rainbow, brook, brown and cutthroat trout are common catches, but you may also snap a whitefish while you're out there. Hiking and mountain biking are also visitor favorites so be sure to bring your gear!

Located in Central Montana in the Lewis and Clark National Forest is the Wood Lake Campground. Near the banks of a high elevation lake, the park is surrounded by deep woods, fresh air and offers acres and acres of forest for exploration. Hiking is certainly a popular activity at this park, so if you love to hike, bring your boots and get ready for the several challenging trails that extend out of the forest. Visitors can also enjoy plenty of fishing, and the campground is especially quiet early in the mornings for a quick escape into a serene fishing experience.

Here's why: the area is thick with lush, thriving fir and pine trees, and the acres and acres of forestry guarantee fresh air for hiking, biking and picnicking. The Yellowstone River is also nearby, so campers can look forward to the sound of the water at night, and the river banks are perfect for exploring, light fishing and lounging.
