The Soda Pocket Campground is located in Sugarite Canyon, New Mexico and is surrounded by exquisite, blooming wildflowers. The Valve Tenders Group Campground is located in Raton, in Sugarite Canyon. Soak in the gorgeous views of the canyon as well as the sunrises over Lake Alice off in the distance, and fall in love with New Mexico all over again. There's plenty to do, so get ready for hiking, biking and lots of water sports like boating, swimming and fishing. You can also go horseback riding here, and go rock climbing along the canyon. The Cedar Springs Campground is located in the Carson Nation Forest. At an elevation of over 7,000 feet, get ready from pristine forestry and crisp, fresh mountain air. Enjoy acres and acres of land to explore as well as clear-cut hiking and biking trails and a few places set aside for horseback riding. Campers can also enjoy picnicking at the various sites. Be sure to look up at sunrise and sunset to catch the amazing New Mexico sky show. If you're looking for a serene escape into nature, this is the spot for you!

The Gallinas River Campground is located in the beautiful town of Las Vegas, New Mexico and is a great spot for an authentic outdoor escape. Campers can look forward to a number of outdoor activities such as wind surfing, boating, hiking, fishing and bird watching, and there's plenty of open space for hiking, ATV touring and clear skies for sunset viewing and stargazing. The Blanco Campground is located in the Heron Lake State Park, Los Ojos, New Mexico. The picturesque Heron Lake is located among the  gorgeous talls pines native to New Mexico, and long-time campers love this area because it's a designated "quiet lake." Boat operators cannot get up to wake speeds, meaning there's not only peacefulness for visitors to enjoy, but a still water surface for canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Campers also love fishing at this lake. Look forward to kokanee salmon and record-size trout. There's also plenty to see for the wildlife viewer; keep your eyes open for osprey, bald eagles, mule deer, elk, deer and mountain lions.  

The Elk Run Campground is located in El Vado Lake, New Mexico and is a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Be sure to bring your reel for excellent trout and salmon fishing, and your gear for paddle boarding, cruising, kayaking or just plain swimming. Campers enjoy this sit particularly for its fresh, crisp air and gorgeous views of the valley below. It's also great for hiking and mountain biking so don't miss out on that as well as the winter sports made popular by the mountains slopes. The Raton KOA is a great stopping point on a road trip between Colorado and New Mexico. Visit the great local attractions around this park, including: the Santa Fe Trail, Boy Scout Museum, downtown Raton's Historic District and Capulin Volcano National Monument. The Jemez Mountains is the breathtaking backdrop for the Fenton Lake State Park in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.
