Get on the lake surface to enjoy a peaceful and easy-going float on the lake, and be sure to cast a few lines to catch record-sized trout and kokanee salmon. Ice fishing is very popular during the winter, as is cross-country skiing. During the warmer months, be sure to hike, bike and picnic your way around the lake, taking in the beautiful natural terrain as you go. 

The Pinion Beach Campground is located at the tip of a small peninsula in El Vado Lake, New Mexico. Be sure to bring your reel for excellent trout and salmon fishing, swimming and boating at over 7,000 feet up. Campers enjoy this sit particularly for its fresh, crisp air and gorgeous views of the valley below.
