Campers can take advantage of outdoor activities such as swimming in the private reservoir, panning for gold, hiking the gorgeous inclines, hunting and horseback riding. Other than the abundance of natural attractions, there are also man made attractions that draw in large crowds, especially during the summer time. The Vigitlante Campground is located in the Helena National Forest, popular for breathtaking forest views and plenty of fresh air. The Missouri River is nearby and is an excellent spot for fishing and water sports such as paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. Trout Creek is also nearby, so visit for an easy-going picnic or job, and be sure to look out at dawn and dusk for spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
