Challenge Cabin is available during the winter and is located just 25 minutes from Hungry Horse, Montana. This primitive cabin is perfect for explorers seeking to escape the hustle, bustle and distraction of daily life and enjoy winter sports such as sledding, skiing and snow boarding. All around the cabin are acres and acres of gorgeous countryside, filled with tall fir and pine trees and echoes of peace and quiet. Campers can also look forward to plenty of space for hiking, wildlife viewing and exploration, and the Flathead River is nearby so get there early in the season for fishing. 

The Mission Lookout Cabin towers above the forest canopy, providing guests with unrivaled 360 degree views of the beautiful Swan Lake. At an elevation of over 3,700 feet, visitors can look forward to great weather and scenic views of the Flathead National Forest. Along with the spectacular scenery, the immediate area offers visitors an unlimited array of outdoor activities ranging from fishing and swimming at the nearby Swan Lake, to watching the migratory waterfowl at the wildlife area. Hunting is also popular not far from the lookout. Shooting within 150 yards of the lookout or from the road is not allowed. A variety of hiking and mountain biking trails can be found in the area.    

The Tally Lake Campground is located to the west of Whitefish, Montana, and offers world-class fishing and camping opportunities for visitors. Visitors can look forward to horseback riding, hiking and biking, as well as plenty of water sports such as trout fishing, canoeing, water skiing, swimming and kayaking. Wildlife viewing is another popular activity; keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles, migratory fowls and water fowls while you're near the water. 

The Lost Johnny Point Campground is located high in the Rocky Mountains and is one of the most picturesque campgrounds in this area. The Ashley Lake North Campground is located along the sky blue waters of Ashley Lake and is an absolute treasure among visitors and locals alike. For those of you hoping for more relaxing activities, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing and swimming are also common at Ashley Lake. There's also plenty of space in and around the campsite for hiking, mountain biking and just plain exploring, so make sure to keep your trip schedule loose so you can really get lost in the gorgeous lakeside forest.

The Silvertip Cabin is located only a short walk from the Spotted River, and at an elevation of over 4,400 feet, is a great site for all types of outdoor activities. The cabin is only available on weekends, but during those few days, guests can enjoy great hiking and horseback riding trails, hunting and wildlife viewing. There are elk, moose, deer and a plethora of small creatures hidden within the forestry, so stay alert and curious! With plenty of fresh air and wide open space for exploring, this is a popular site so book early!

The Wurtz Cabin is located in White Hose, Montana and is a favorite among campers looking for a serene escape into the beauty and majesty of the Montana mountain ranges. For the fishers among you, look forward to great catches at the North Fork Flathead River, and picnicking and hiking around the waterside. The cabin itself is clean, well-managed and quaint, and is a great home base for exploring the hillsides of White Horse. 

The Murray Bay Campground is located 22 miles south of Martin City and is an idyllic, gorgeous spot for your next quiet escape into Montana. Look forward to fishing trout at the bay, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, boating and water skiing, as well as waterside picnics and star gazing. Get ready for beautiful views of mountain ranges in the distance and tall, majestic trees filling the land. The Upper Stillwater Lake Campground is located is located in the Flathead National Forest and though it is a primitive campsite, it is very popular, especially around the summer months. The campsite is well-known for its gorgeous scenes and hiking trails, as well as fishing at the lake. Look forward to plenty of trout, and great weather for swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking and water skiing. Campers can also expect great wildlife viewing; keep your eyes open for curious deer, moose and elk, as well as beautiful birds near the lakeside.  

The Swan lake Campground is located just across from the lake and is newly renovated with paved campsites. Visitors can look forward to gorgeous views from the hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as plenty of trout fishing at the lake. Campers can also expect other water sports such as water skiing, boating, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. There are also numerous picnic tables, so get ready for quiet, peaceful picnics along the waterside. 

The Apgar Campground is located on the southern tip of Lake McDonald in the breathtaking Glacier National Park. Campers and sight seers can look forward to alpine meadows and pristine forests, and with over 700 miles of trails, is perfect for a relaxing mountain escape. Campers can look forward to hiking and mountain biking the various trails, and at an elevation over over 5,500 feet, is all steeped in a breezy, cool environment. Visitors can also take advantage of wildlife viewing, so keep your eyes open for bears, mule deer, moose, elk and small birds. Like fishing? You'll love this park for its abundance of whitefish, cutthroat, bull and rainbow trout. The Going-To-The-Sun road is a gorgeous and scenic drive, so be sure to spend time on this wonder of engineering. 

The Logging Creek Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. Campers can look forward to an abundance of brook and rainbow trout in the creek, as well as peaceful water sports such as paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. The campground is also known for a number of excellent trails, so get ready to conquer the Deep Creek National Recreation Trail and others.
